Succulent nail art is the latest Instagram trend

Thought the crazy nail art trend had reached its peak? Think again. Your Instagram is about to become flooded with these seriously cool (and seriously impractical) succulent manicures – made from real plants!
Australian botanical artist Roz Borg first came up with the idea while making jewellery with tiny baby succulents. Using the same technique, she applied succulents to the nail with floral adhesive and loved the result. Photos of the unusual manicure quickly went viral, creating the global phenomenon now known as succulent nail art.
“People are stunned when they realize it’s real live plants, not 3D sculpting,” Borg told The Huffington Post. “Some people are grossed out, but most love it!”
And while this living manicure is certainly not low maintenance, those who dare to rock a real-life green thumb can plant their baby succulents once the adhesive wears off.
What do you think of succulent nail art? Would you try it?

Cute! But very impractical. I can't see these lasting. Great idea for photos though.

Wouldn’t they get in the way? They would make it difficult to do simple things such as going to the bathroom, washing your hair, in fact most day to day activities. Not for me thanks.

I can't imagine why anyone would want a garden stuck on their nails. Very impractical and not for me.

Wow, a lot of work has gone into these but not sure how practical they are. A little too out-there for me!

I can really appreciate the artistry gone into these nails, they're absolutely stunning but they seem very 'instagram' and not suited for real life.

Imagine my nails like this while looking after a 5-month old. The hazards galore!! Extremely beautiful, creative and satisfying to look at though.

It's a novel idea but very impractical. I'd rather see the baby succulents in a pot .

OMG how creative can you be with your nails. I think working with "succulent nail art" on your fingers would be a little awkward but I do like the idea of matt nail polish.
