The surprising beauty product celebs swear by

At bh, we’re used to reading about the OTT beauty regimes of celebrities (Gwyneth Paltrow’s punishing facial treatment comes to mind).
So we were surprised and delighted to learn about the latest, more attainable beauty product three stunning stars swear by.
I’ll give you three clues:
1. It’s been around since 1859.
2. It’s available from Priceline and most pharmacies nationally.
3. It’s practically the definition of a ‘multi-use product’.
Drumroll please… it’s Vaseline Petroleum Jelly! Yep, one of my favourite budget buys is also a must-have for Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez.
According to The Daily Mail, Aniston applies it under her eyes every night to help lock in moisture and prevent wrinkles, while Lopez uses it to remove make-up (it’s never occurred to me to do this, but I will be trying it tonight!).
And Queen Bey? Well, rounding off her other favourite products, she’s said to rub the gentle jelly on her teeth to protect them from stains, as well as on her eyelashes to help them hold their curl and look shiny.
So it’s official. With countless other uses including as a treatment for nappy rash, chafing, sore lips, minor burns, dry hands and rough feet, this chemist classic really is a beauty wonder.
And at less than $3 for a 50-gram pot, you can afford to slather it on (leaving you with more cash to spend on fun beauty products like pretty purple eyeshadow).
Do you use Vaseline in your beauty regime? What other budget beauty buys do you swear by?

I’m personally not a fan of vassoline! I prefer to use lano 101 ointment instead

Have used Vasoline all my life for so many things, loving paw paw ointment now. Great all-rounders.

I have never really used Vasaline before (only a bosy moisturiser spray) but I have EA8hour cream which I guess is quite similar

Vaseline is great for a variety of applications. Years ago I used it to tame unruly brows before all the current brow products came out. I have used it on my lips and blended it with pigments to make a tint for my lips. I've also used baby oil when overseas to remove my makeup - it's particularly good for waterproof or stubborn makeup.

Using this as an eye cream sounds uncomfortable to me. Makeup remover makes sense, however.

Interesting!! I only use vaseline when I have new bra straps or something rubbing on my skin that hurts!

It is just petroleum, industrial waste when the oil and gas are processed. So yuck!

I will literally buy any product Vaseline comes out with, I'm addicted to their range, especially the cocoa moisturiser.

I use vaseline on my lips to keep them moist if just lounging around at home but also use it everday on my brows to keep them in place!

My mum used to have this at home all the time and she used to on her lips every night. I think I should get some myself.

I used to use it but don't as much now, it contains too many chemicals.

Best product for treating wind burn / tissue burn on kids. It doesn't smell so they don't mind it as much as some others. Also love it for really dry hands before bed :)

And all that time it's been just under my nose! Have used it for eyelashes in the past and must start trying that again.

A cult beauty product alright, I use it for under eye in dry condition, dry lips, dry cracked feet, cuticle and even eye makeup remover. So versatile and a bottle lasts forever!
