4 ways with...exfoliators
Being the savvy little beauty buffs you are, we know you wouldn’t dare leave exfoliating out of your skin care regime. Without it, well, your skin just wouldn’t look as soft and supple, and your complexion would be a wee bit on the dull side.
But are you really using your exfoliator to the best of its abilities? Sure, you may exfoliate every week to keep your skin at its best, but don’t make the mistake of under-utilising that grainy little wonder.
Here are some other ways you can use your exfoliator and get more bang for your buck:
As an extra gentle daily exfoliation - mix a bit of your exfoliator into your cleanser for a more gentle face scrub that you can use on a daily basis.
As a skin prep – if you’re looking to give your skin a bit of colour, exfoliate away those dead skin cells before you apply your fake tan. No dry skin patches means you’ll have a smoother, more natural-looking tan. And if you’ve made a few self-tan mistakes, no problemo. Just gently exfoliate the area and no one will be any the wiser.
As a rough skin eliminator – for an ultra intensive scrub on your driest areas (think elbows and feet), use your exfoliator without any water. But be careful not to rub too harshly, you’re looking to soften your skin, not get rid of it completely!
As a lip softener – lips feeling a bit chapped? Get rid those cracks by exfoliating your lips on a regular basis. Regular exfoliation will leave your lips fuller, softer, smoother, and way more kissable.
Not sure which scrub to use? We love Sophyto Dual Action Exfoliating Treatment. As well as being a mechanical exfoliant (you know, the grainy, rough kind of exfoliant), it also contains organic pineapple, which chemically exfoliates your skin to leave it positively glowing.
