20 female members aged 16 to 25 with oily to combination skin. Members who trialled the Garnier Pure Active 3-in-1 Wash, Scrub and Mask were prone to imperfections and concerned with shine, visible pores and blackheads.

Members were advised to use the product twice a day, in the morning and evening. They were told to apply it all over the face, concentrating on the T-zone – the forehead, nose and chin. Testers were given different on the different ways to use the product. To use as a cleanser, apply to a wet face, massage in, and then rinse off with water. To use as a scrub, apply and massage in circular motions, concentrating on the T-zone, then rinse off with water. To use as a mask, apply two to three times a week, allow to dry for three minutes, then rinse off with water.

The majority of testers found the product to be effective in removing excess oil, clearing blemishes, and leaving skin feeling deeply cleansed. Most testers also said the three-in-one product was very convenient in that it saved time, space and money.

Many members found the formula softened, smoothed and clarified their complexion, and helped to even out skin tone. Some members were impressed with the cooling effect the formula had on their skin when used as a mask, as well as its refreshing cucumber scent. However, some members did mention that the scent of the product was quite strong.
