The best way to find a new fragrance

I don’t know about you, but I find picking a new perfume quite stressful. Despite knowing which brands I usually like and the notes that suit me, the back-and-forth of spritzing and smelling in-store leaves me a little worked up.
But it turns out that picking a new perfume doesn’t have to be so hard (and can actually be a lot more fun than you think).
DKNY has released a Coffret Set (that’s just fancy talk for a gift box or set that contains a few fragrances) that features mini versions of the most popular DKNY fragrances: DKNY Be Delicious, DKNY Fresh Blossom, pureDKNY Verbena, and DKNY, all conveniently just what the doctor ordered for spring and summer – fruity, floral, and the epitome of feminine.
So how does this make finding a new fragrance for spring/summer that much easier? Basically, you’ll get to play around with four different new scents (pick a different one for each day of the week, or mix and match them to your heart’s desire!). This means you can properly suss out which scent suits you best before investing in the full-size bottle. If that’s not the definition of fun perfume research, I don’t know what is.
The House of DKNY Coffret Set is available for $59 from Myer and David Jones.

I wonder if the minis are sprays or dab-on fragrances? Would love to try pure DKNY.

My favourtie for springtime is Jicky by Guerlain. It's been around a long time (since 1889) and I'm sure they got it right in those days, more natural fragrances and less alcohol and fillers. It is fresh and lively, with top, middle and base notes of Lemon, Patchouli and Amber respectively. A classic, timeless scent. Difficult to purchase but can buy online at FragranceX or other perfumeries.
