Date night makeup tutorial with The Bachelor’s Elora
There’s a lot of pressure when it comes to date night makeup. Especially, when it’s a first date scenario. But imagine how much pressure the girls on The Bachelor feel when they’re getting ready for a date that’s about to be watched by millions of Australians... Yet, they always look so flawless. So, who better to ask to film a date night makeup tutorial than former The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise star, Elora Murger.

To see how Elora got date night ready on The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise, watch her makeup tutorial in the video above.
Also, here are five surprising things that we learnt from Elora’s date night makeup tutorial…
1. She swears by using this French facial serum before applying her makeup
Elora loves to use Lancome Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate before applying her makeup for its hydrating properties. “It just really hydrates the skin and gives you that extra light that you need on your face,” says Elora. And she’s not wrong – thanks to its cutting edge technology and ingredients, this serum helps to create the appearance of healthy, youthful skin.
2. She doesn’t use any brushes to apply her foundation
No brushes, no problem. Elora prefers to apply her favourtie foundation (Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear) with her fingers, as she feels that it’s more French than using makeup brushes. “It’s just about evening out the tone I think. My dad always said that women blush for a reason and it’s really nice for men to see a woman blush,” she says.
3. She loves to use this $20 drugstore palette to contour
Elora’s makeup bag has a great mix of high-end and drugstore products, including the MODELS OWN Sculpt & Glow Highlight Powder palette in Strobe Light ($20, priceline.com.au). To contour she applies a small amount of the bronzer shade from her eyes to her lips and then a little bit on the sides of her nose. She then uses the highlighter shades highlight the highpoints of her cheeks and on her brow bone. Using the blush shade from the palette, she applies to the apples of her cheeks. Once she’s finished using the palette, she grabs a large kabuki brush and blends it all in so her base is seamless.
4. But there is one part of her face that she refuses to cover
“I have a mole that I always try to not cover because it’s part of who I am and don’t like to hide who I am,” explains Elora.
5. She always finishes her makeup routine with this unexpected accessory
While some may finish their makeup routine with a setting spray or a spritz of their favourite perfume, Elora always ends her routine by popping on a pair of hoop earrings. “I have my hoops which I wear almost everyday – but they get knocked out when people give me hugs!” she says.

Haven't seen her before but she has a lovely look and I love how her makeup is light on. She's beautiful even without it.

It's interesting to refer to a serum as " to create the appearance of healthy, youthful skin"
To me, this implies it doesn't do any long term or real benefit to the skin

Not watched it, no idea who she is but the whole idea of mass dating and competing for a man makes me cringe

I sure as hell couldn't do it either. Dating is hellish enough, let alone pitting yourself against a bunch of women and their egos, makeup and dresses for the sake of a relationship and television ratings. No thanks.

I have never followed the bachelor (or bachelorette) nor can I relate to it. I've never competed with another woman for a mans attention. If he wants me, he wants me. If "my man" is coming under fire from another woman, well that's a different story but if he can be lured away by plastic and sparkle then he wouldn't be someone I would want anyway. I'm sure most of the bachelor contestants are lovely people but put in a situation where they have to compete against each other, even the nicest person could turn nasty.

I have no idea who she is and some of the products are too pricy for me but I also apply my foundation with my fingers.

Since I was a little girl I've always been fascinated by what's in people's makeup bags and how they use their products. Now THAT should be a reality show - What's In My Makeup Bag. I would tune in every night for that show.
