Liquid Eye Effect Pencil Reviews

I've only had mine for a few weeks. Didn't like it at first, but I'm getting used to it. The colour is good, and it goes on easily. But I find that it doesn't have the best staying power. Think I would prefer the kohl pencil.

I'm rather annoyed at having bought this. I purchased Green Glow, a beautiful almost neon golden green: I just wish this colour showed up on me! Even swatching this on the back of my hand, I cannot achieve the gorgeous colour it advertises, no matter how many layers I put on. It's just not opaque enough.
And, while I'm at it, "liquid effect"? Really? This pencil might glide beautifully, but that's not really the point of a liquid liner: to deliver high intensity pigmentation... Which this pencil sadly lacks in.

When needing new liquid liner, and my trusted old favourite was out of stock, I fell for the Max Factor Liquid Effect Pencil Eye Liner, which promises to combines the easy application of an eye pencil with the lasting effects of liquid eyeliner. Having sensitive eyes that easily water, being waterproof, made it seem like a great buy, so I bought it in the colour black.
Given the name of the eye liner, I was expecting a pencil eyeliner with opaque and crisp application of liquid eyeliner, but sadly I was wrong as the eyeliner is not really opaque even after few layers. And in adding layer on layer to get the desired colour, meant that the eyeliner started to clump.
As for staying power, unfortunately after a few hours it did start to smudge, which was even worse on hot and humid, or rainy days.
The eyeliner comes with a smudger tip in the one end of the pencil, but for some reason, it seems to work more as an eraser as a smudger, and seems to be pulling a lot on the eyelid.
All in all, I was very disappointed with this eyeliner, and at $18.95, I believe there are much better products available.
