Miranda Kerr shares the secrets to her signature makeup look

Having been a model since the age of 13, Miranda Kerr was bound to pick up some excellent makeup tips throughout her career.
Off the runway, the 37-year-old typically favours a natural makeup look, and has explained that “for me the basis of great makeup is actually great skin care.”
So it comes as no surprise that before getting to foundation, the KORA Organics founder prepped her skin thoroughly, as seen in a ‘date night how-to’ video for Vogue Paris.

Miranda began her routine with a spritz of rose mist, followed by vitamin C serum and then the brand’s hero product, Noni Glow Facial Oil ($83, Kora Organics); taking care to press the products into her skin rather than rub. The model is also a big fan of gua shas, frequently pulling out the crystal tool to massage her face products in and boost circulation.
As the mum-of-three started on her makeup, she explained that she’s had ‘pigmentation issues’, ever since her first pregnancy. “And I have three children now; a six-month-old, a two-year-old and a nine-year-old.”
To even out her complexion, Miranda used the RMS Un-Cover Up Cream Foundation ($83, Mecca), applied with a stippling brush, the former of which she said has a ‘beautiful texture’.
After concealing areas that need a little more coverage, Miranda admitted, “I’m quite big on blush.”
“For those of you who know me, you might think I overdo my blush, but I really like that look. Like I’ve just, you know, been for a run or gotten a little excited.”
Applying one from La Prairie, Miranda dabbed her blush onto the apples of her cheeks before sweeping it across the eyes, too. She followed this with a pink shimmer shadow, applied with the fingers atop the eyelids.
“Because I’m doing a red lip I’m keeping the eye makeup simple with just that touch of pink,” she said.

Before adding mascara, Miranda revealed another trick in that if you’re ever caught without a curler, you can use a spoon to give your lashes a little shape and lift.
To finish her look, Miranda dried off her slightly damp hair with a hairdryer, and then added a spritz of Klorane Dry Shampoo. Despite her hair being freshly washed, the model said she uses it to add volume.
No judgement here Miranda, we’d marry dry shampoo if we could.
Have you tried any of the products Miranda used?

I've never thought to use a facial oil before applying makeup. I only use it at night because I would have thought that it wouldn't mix with foundation.

I sometimes use a facial oil before foundation but I wait a bit longer for it to absorb. Oil under foundation can reduce the cake-face look. Some foundations do not last as long when I apply them over oil, but this might be because my skin is dry.

I love Klorane & a bold lip, too! I also sometimes sweep a little blush across the eyes, but I don't slather it on my cheeks as heavily as she does.

I'm sure I tried a Kora lip balm once and didn't like it but I can't find it in my reviews! Nice that a supermodel doesn't have a 50-step skincare routine!
