9 of the best beauty looks from the VMAs

The VMAs have been and gone (*sad face*), but we’re still basking in the afterglow of the best beauty looks from the red carpet.

Big hair, bold eye make-up and #onpoint brows were everywhere.

1. Gigi Hadid

We’re used to seeing Gigi with a sleek middle part, so you can imagine our excitement when she rocked this swept back bouffant. Can someone also please tell us what fake tan this girl’s using!

2. Taylor Swift

Taylor’s bold make-up look isn’t for everyone, but I personally love the pairing of the Catwoman-esque eyes and glossy nude lip. After all, it’s the VMAs (not the Oscars), so we expect the make-up to be a bit more daring.

3. Demi Lovato

Demi’s luscious lashes are among the best we’ve ever seen. The singer’s brows are perfection and the slick hair keeps her look ultra-modern. The only thing I’m not so sure about is her (very) sparkly neck. When in Rome, I guess?

4. Kylie Jenner

The reality star nailed her signature matte lip, while the gold eyeshadow/dark liner combo makes her peepers pop like crazy. I also can’t get over how glossy her hair is (although, let’s be honest - it’s probably a wig).

5. Vanessa Hudgens

The critics were divided on this rather romantic look, but we think it’s a lovely departure from the sleek, modern styles that ruled the day. We especially love how she adorned her braid with little jewels. I would love to get at those flyaways with some hairspray though (sorry, Vanessa, I can’t help myself).

6. Kat Graham

Anddd the award for sexiest VMAs hairstyle goes to Kat Graham. I love the asymmetrical cut and tousled waves. The Vampire Diaries actress also made great use of highlighter to enhance her #flawless skin.

7. Hailee Steinfeld

The entire bh office is dying over Hailee’s brushed-up brows, which contrasted perfectly with her sleek down ‘do. A winged eye and pretty pink lip gave the look a gorgeous girly touch.

8. Selena Gomez

I don’t know which I’m more envious of: the singer’s glossy mane or her glowing skin. I really like how Selena kept her look simple – she’s naturally stunning, so why shouldn’t she?!

9. Kelly Osbourne

Kelly’s beauty look ain’t for everyone, but I just had to pay tribute to the star’s pout. I’m mesmerised by the pinky-red shade and must add this exact product to my make-up arsenal, pronto.
