Five steps to rocking wet-look hair

Scarlett Johansson, you babe.
Since seeing the new mumma rock this slick ‘do, bh editors have been going gaga for the wet hair trend. I managed to inadvertently recreate a similar look, arriving ever-so-slightly late for our 9am meeting with a ‘just-showered’ mop through absolutely no fault of my own (alarm clock, I’m looking at you).
While it’s not a particularly difficult style to master, recreating the androgynous ‘do takes a little more work than stepping out of the shower and trotting out the door. And with the heat in full swing, finding a hairstyle that doesn’t involve standing in a steamy room with a heat styler is a major plus.
We asked Schwarzkopf’s national technical educator Grant Withnell for the lowdown on nailing this very 90s trend (without looking like a slick Backstreet Boy), and he broke it down for us in five simple steps:
Step 1
Dispense a golf ball-sized amount of styling mousse into your palms, then rake it through towel-dried hair. Use a little more if your hair is super long. You can also create this look with dry hair if it’s dirty (guilty).

Step 2
Blow dry your hair with a flat brush, directing it back off your face as if you were creating a ponytail. Avoid leaving a visible part.

Step 3
Using a comb or your fingers, apply a small amount of paste through your roots. Direct the hair back and slightly upwards behind your ears.

Step 4
Use a bobby pin behind your ear to hold your hair back neatly and firmly. Your hair will naturally fall over the top of the pin to hide it.

Step 5
If your hair is long or curly, smooth the ends with a straightener or smoothing oil, and finish with a strong styling hairspray to secure it in place.

Not a fan of wet hair look. I guess it doesn't suit every face shape only some can carry it off well.

I think Scarlett suited the feminine past the shoulders blonde hair most.

I like how Megan Fox did this look with her longer hair and turned it kind of glam with old hollywood waves but slicked at the crown. That would be more the look I would go for I think. Its hard to picture this style on longer hair.

I don't like the wet hair look, although Scarlett looks better with it than most people.

I don't think I could get away with this look but looks good on Scarlett, it really needs short hair.

I dont love this at all.. nor could I ever attempt to pull it off (even if I wanted to). My hair is too fine that it would just look limp and slick... not hot haha
