How do you know if you need glasses? A friend suggested I may need them as I suffer alot from Headaches especially after being on the computer for a short while or reading. Any advice?
You can hed down to your local Optometrist and they will test your eyes there for you. Some of them bulk bill so medicare pay for it. When your on the computer or reading is your vision blurry?
Im Short sided so i have to wear glasses when im driving or watching tv. Objects far away from me are blurry
If i was you i would go down and get my eyes checked. :)
Bella Boo most optometrists bulk bill the eye test just like Kylie mentioned. You shouldn't have to pay anything at all. It is only when you are told that you need glasses that you start to pay, but you can shop around for the glasses that you want, you aren't restricted to buying a set of glasses from the optometrist where you have your test done.
As everyone has all ready said, a visit to your optometrist will give you a more accurate diagnosis and better advice for your eye condition and most do bulk bill. Your eyes may just be strained and tired.
A yearly check up of your eyesight is probably advisable since your eye condition changes with time.
It's natural if your eyes get tired from staring at a computer for too long. You should always get your eyes checked by an optometrist. When you get your eyes checked you can always ask them how to take care of our eyes etc.
Every two years you can have a bulk-billed eye test (medicare pays for it). I wear glasses and have four pairs of prescription clear lenses and one pair of prescription sunnies, I love my glasses - they are in all colours and styles! One for each outfit!
I get headaches as well and the other day my teacher wrote something in orange on the whiteboard and i could barely read it! :( How bad is that haha but i dont want to get glasses.
I recently got my eyes tested after experiencing headaches (really bad) over one eye. I now have glassess which i use for computer work and havefound they have helped me soo much. I haven't had a headache since getting them. I would definately reccomed getting your eyes checked, it can make a huge difference.
Besides getting your eye sight checked, you may need to look at your posture while your on the computer. Your neck and shoulders may be holding a lot of tension, you may just need a good massage.
I got my eyes tested last Thursday and it turned out that I'm short sighted and far sighted, so I definitely need glasses (can't wait until Thursday week to go pick them up!) If you just go to your local optometrist they'll be able to test you, and if you can't afford the glasses at the time they can write out the prescription so you can come back :)
After about a year of noticing that subtitles on TV and presentations at work seemed to be getting blurrier, I finally got my eyes tested and sure enough I'm short sighted and need glasses for watching TV and driving. It's amazing how much of a difference they make though, I'd highly recommend getting tested.
don't they just, Shaqi? I remember the first time I put glasses on in my prescription, it was like seeing the world in a completely new way. Everything is clear!
OMG , i can see again after 13 days of no computer or reading it been hell !!!!! had to get new lenser . bloody old age lol .
If you can't see clearly, if vision is blurry or if you need to concentrate or squint at something a lot.
But of course the only definite way is to go to your optometrist and get it checked.
I get blurry eyes from being in front of my computer too long. I visited an optometrist and my eyes checked they she said that i should just wear very low strength glasses just to relax my eyes a little. Might be what's happening to you?
maybe you have dry eyes but try and take breaks another thing is lower the brightness of your screen as that can stress your eyes
You can't really be sure until you go to an optomistrist. I went because I found that I was finding the lecture theatre board hard to see at uni and when I got the prescriptions I could not belive how clear everything was, I don't think that I had ever seen the world in sharp focus before (just as Bide mentioned) so before I got the glasses I had nothing to compare it to.
I only just got glasses for tv, driving etc about 2 months ago, and I didn't think my eyes were too bad, just having a bit of blurriness reading the board at uni etc, but omg they made such a difference could not believe how clear everything is! You just don't notice it cos it happens gradually but glasses make such a difference.
I initially only got glasses for reading the board at school and my short sightedness but now I can't take them off and fear my eyesight is getting worth..need to do some eye exercises and have a check with my optometrist!
Im stuck buying this product literally. I used it when my children were babies and now there a bit older and understand they no bath, cream, then bed. No cream = no bed for 3 very angry toddlers.
This moisturiser has a lovely smooth texture and glides onto my skin beautifully. I found it left my skin feeling soft and supple and it also wears well under makeup.
After more than a week of using Pro X by Olay Anti Aging Wrinkle Smoothing Cream I can really say that the I ❤️ the product;
