i love the look of them but was wondering can you use them without haveing anything wrong with your eyesight
Uguu, now I'm worried about the corneal ulcer thing. T-T I really should get those protein tablets for mine..
I used to wear monthly disposables, but switched to 'permanent' (a year's lifespan, i believe) ones. They're much easier to wear for me, and it might be the same problem Pwincess encountered. I've found short-span ones are much thinner than permanent ones, unless you're wearing toric lenses (in which case they're really thick XD). It does take a bit of practice to put them in quickly, but make sure your eyelashes aren't touching the lenses. This could be what's making them curl up too. Try making sure a part of the lense has adhered to the eye before you try to move it slightly so the rest fits.
I have golden contacts, and purple ones. Haven't tried purple, but gold was a bit disappointing. My eyes are dark so they didn't show, but my pupils did look dilated, haha. Hopefully the other pair is better!
And if you think round soft contacts are hard to put on, wait 'til you try the sclera ones on...now those do look freaky. :P Check out this site, haha. http://www.9mmsfx.com/lenses.html
i used to have purple ones, they were a monthly one. no prescription, i loved the look. i plan to get blue or green next. but from a different brand. i dont recommend the freshlook one as the one i had was a bit blurry as it didnt adjust exactly fitting my eye. instead it was kind of off from my pupil not to mention it wouldnt stay in when i was putting them on.
They look really cool, but i heard that a girl got blind from wearing the novelty one- is it risky???
Anyone seen the video clip for Disturbia - Rihanna? Her eyes are completely white, freaky! Though i wonder if she is wearing eye contacts or it is edited.
I have tried purple, green and grey lenses (i have blue eyes) and i LOVE them.
I don't need glasses so I get non-perscription lenses, and buy them online as its easier.
I've tried Novavision contact lenses because I wanted high quality lenses, and they're affordable.
Next I want to try some crazy lenses (like the above white lenses mentioned) and they sell UV lenses. So they glow under a UV light. Pretty Cool!!!
There is no need for coloured contacs. They can damage your eyes and you can lose your sight. I'd be careful if I were you, use them with caution.
Ha i would agree....i used them all the time in high school anyway they caned my eyes (Hurt) anyway I would put up with them but they r so much thicker and r a b*tch to ur eyes......i had to put my besties in every morning in the school toilets aswell as she wasnt that good at inserting them hey!
Yes Disco is totally right. Coloured contacts are best used as one-offs, like for a costume party or a very specific and unique look. They should not be worn regularly, especially if you don't need a prescription to wear contacts in the first place.
Because even good-quality coloured contacts are designed to emphasise colour and NOT the ability to allow the eye to breathe or rest or properly maintain moisture, you are putting yourself at risk by putting something unnecessary in your eye.
Do it once every so often, don't do it regularly. You don't need them; your eyes are already beautiful!
I have dozens of pairs of coloured contacts and I can honestly say I've never had a problem with my eyesight and I wear them on a regular basis for things and if it's just to do shoots of my latest freaky make up look I sometimes leave them in all day and it not bother myself or my eyesight what so ever. I've found crazycontacts.com.au to be cheap and decent quality contacts but I'd keep a look out for their sales because I got 5 pairs for $100 last sale.
I have prescription coloured lens and also clear. The coloured ones are fresh look in green and the clear ones are J&J. I love my coloured ones to death ! However the clear ones are much more comfy for work so i tend to wear my green ones on the weekend now, whereas i wore them everyday before. Never had any problems with them, people always compliment me when i wear them, and they look natural on me =) only wish i had naturally green eys !
I've never worn contacts before, but I'd love to try coloured ones. I'm pretty good with touching my eyes when I need to, like getting those annoying eyelashes out.
On average, how much would you pay for coloured contacts and how long do they last?
In France I payed 30Euros for 30 day contact which would be about $50, although I wore them for a bit longer then I was meant to :p. This price included a tutorial on how to put them in, plus the solution and case for them.
I loved them and people always commented how crazy it was to see me with different coloured eyes.
Would reccomend going to a professional, it's your eyes after all !
That's true. I would always go to an optical store and trial them first. I don't trust websites that sell contacts.
My brother's an optometrist and I definitely think that you should go to a proper optometrist to buy a pair - he's had plenty of girls come in with problems after buying from cheap sites online or from non-optometrist shops!
I would recommend going to an optometrist if you're really worried or new to this. They're your eyes and you don't want to take any chances! Anywho, I wear prescription contacts and I've thought about getting coloured contacts. They would be fun!
Always wanted to try these, I bought some years ago and then didn't put them in!!! :D I was warned they do damage your eyes.
I think the idea is so pretty, but the effecting eyes part makes me think this is a huge pass! :)
I have always had issues with dry hair with oily roots, so I was excited to give this hair mask a go.
Very expensive moisturiser. It comes in a jar and you do get a nice large amount of 48mls. The cream is very thick and you only need a small amount.
These little kits are the perfect nail polish sets you need, the size is perfect and fits anywhere, even when you travel you could pop it into anything plus it passes through customs during your fl
