Christmas is done and dusted for another year and Boxing day is tomorrow!
So I decided to start this thread where we can share what amazing Boxing Day Sales are going on, it can be either online or in-store deals!
I'll start here is the sale that will be going on at Sephora
Not really planning on buying anything maybe a couple of presents for people for their birthdays next year. If I do buy anything it will probably be online at Myer , Clinique or Adore Beauty.
I’m not planning on buying anything either, but I might go and have a look around tomorrow if I can be bothered. I’ve had a look online at Mecca’s sale and there’s a few things I’d grab if I could but nothing really jumps out at me. If I was to buy anything I would like some new summer dresses.
Too hard to get to them.
OMG I read on News that Myer in Melbourne City opened at 5.00am and it was total chaos! Pass! I was still snuggled up in my bed at 5.00am.
Hubby saw on news that cars were queued on the Monash Fwy trying to get into Chadstone, and PTV stopped buses running to/from Chadstone because they just couldn’t get near it. No thanks. I’m really not that desperate for a bargain. Chadstone is busy enough on any ordinary weekend, so I hate to think what it must have been like. Bedlam!
For interstate beauties, Chadstone is a HUGE major shopping centre in Melbourne. It’s massive, and it’s got absolutely everything. Except enough parking.
My goodness, that does not sound worth it. Would rather shop online for sure.
People haven't even slept off the xmas dinner and they are pushing each other over for some 'bargain' that they don't even need!
I feel so very sorry for the staff. Poor things having to deal with some of those maniacs.
The thing I don't understand is that the prices offered in-store on Boxing Day are the SAME as online! Just stay at home and buy it online, in your jim-jams FFS.
I just get sales online. Too chaotic instore for my liking.
Completely agree. Why go through all of the stress when you can shop from home in your pyjamas.
Exactly. Best way.
I’m not planning to hit a physical shop until I absolutely can’t avoid it. It’s just so unpleasant to deal with the pushy crowds.
haaaaaaaaaaaaate store shopping. Everything online. Easy peasy.
I will not go to a shopping centre. Even if they were giving away free s#it I would not go.
The whole atmosphere is unpleasant, then add huge bargain hungry crowds in and holynoeffingway!
The only brick and mortar shopping I like is op-shopping :)
That's always super fun!
Funny you mention that TinDrum, op-shopping is the shopping I actually need to do over next week or so.
I need to put together a dress-up costume for the last night of the youth camp I volunteer with, but it is always challenging finding a plus-size ‘costume’. Fortunately this year’s theme is pretty broad, but I still feel the pressure.
hells yess to op-shopping!
That is so cool that you volunteer with youth camp!
I hope it was good fun :)
Did you find yourself a costume?
I did. And an outfit for one of the other leaders too. And a pair of unworn, strong leather boots for $25, turns out they are worth $340. Score!
Total score! I love those awesome finds!
It's sad that women throw out SO much new/near new stuff :(
Don't get me wrong, great for us op-shoppers, but imagine how much of chucked stuff isn't donated.
There is really not much point in going into a brick and mortar store.
Even if you have to pay shipping, the way I look at it is my sanity and my time is worth the $10 it costs for it to be brought to my door HA!
And big deal, you don't get instant gratification! I like it better that Past Me bought Future Me a present! I always thank Past Me for being so frikken awesome for buying me stuff when it arrives :)
edit: oops, double post!
I will buy online as well but yesterday I went with my husband and son to have a look around, the first shopping centre we went to was really busy, it's a bigger one with David Jones and myer etc.
The second was much quieter, a local shopping centre with Target, Kmart etc. I got a new handbag at the busier shopping centre and it was so busy at strandbags, You had to weave your way past people and squeeze in closer to the shelves but I was pleased I went, my old handbag was about 5 years old. I did'nt go to a lot of other stores but they were'nt as busy, bags must have been a popular product and it was a small store anyway.
I got my last handbag from Colette and I’m really happy with it. You can usually get them on sale for a good price too. And of course while you are there, you might need to add some jewellery or hair accessories to your collection! I love that place. It’s rare I come out empty handed.
I considered going to have a wander around the major shopping centre not far from here, but I couldn’t be bothered, and I know it would be pretty feral. Plus I’d have to catch the bus. Ugh! Hubby is on holidays but he’s gone out on a boys day today, so I’m home alone. They’ve gone gold prospecting. My youngest son has got all sorts of interesting equipment and goes nearly every weekend. They’ve hired equipment for hubby and eldest son for today. Here’s hoping they can find some nice big chunks of gold.
Gold prospecting! That’s pretty cool! Though it’s very hot out today.
Look what he found......
Oh wow! That’s a nice little nugget! That’s so cool.
I know right! Wish one of them could find a HUGE nugget. Youngest son has been doing it for a long time and has built up quite a collection of little pieces that he has found. Eldest son sometimes goes with him but hasn’t gotten lucky. This was hubbys first time. They went to Maryborough (Vic). They said it was hot, mid to high 30s.
Love these masks by DB Cosmetics. This mask packs the punch in the moisture department.
Love this scent, it has a nice neutral twist to it. Ideal for everybody. It’s not sticky, nor strong. The texture of the shower gel is the right consistency.
Most likely the best sunscreen I’ve used in Australia and overseas. Comes in different sizes. I trust the brand in all its range.
Hope you're all well.
I'd love to put together a content piece on the products women…
