The Ordinary. The brand we need to talk about!
The Ordinary. The brand we need to talk about!
Theres a new brand called the ordinary. By the same company -Abnormal beauty company. (hyaliminde )
So this range is super cheap - less that $12 for vitamin c, vitamin b and retinol serums. It looks amazing and will be coming to Australia next year.
The products like i said look brilliant and are soooo affordable. Check it out here.

Excellent. Eye creams take alot to impress me.
Guys, I am actually scared of high caffeine in skincare. I used an eye cream with it in, and it dried my eye area so badly that I got crepey skin (when I smiled lines were horrible!). So I ditched it and used HA serum and it plumped back to bouncier self as it was before.
Now, it can be just an awful formula, or....look- Caffeine is diuretic (pulling water out of tissues), so they add it to eye creams to " decrease puffiness" (that I never ever have). Pulling water out my delicate eye area is a huge no no! Makes area dehydrated and hello wrinkles!
Just a brainstorm again...so I am so super intrigued how others will experience caffeine on their skin
Another thing....I found this site that is also official stockist of the Ordinary. Postage free if you buy over 15$ (I think american) to Australia. It seems they just got the whole stock there.

Also they stock the whole Deciem range
http://www.zestbeauty.com/brands/deciem.html/
It's a UK site and if you join their email newsletter they send you a 5% off coupon :)
For anyone who missed out on the Hylamide products when they had 40% off at at Priceline, they are currently running a 3 for the price of 2 promotion. Interesting timing though, as the stock levels at many of the stores (and online) have been depleted.
3 new Ordinary products are released - was bummed out the Squalane wasn't available when I ordered (or I would have defo got it) but they should be available now. This is the summary of the three products from their newsletter:
Argireline Solution 10%
Arigreline is a trademark owned by Barcelona-based Lipotec. It is a proprietary solution of Acetyl Hexapeptide-3. Controlled studies have shown that Argireline improves the appearance of facial areas prone to developing dynamic folds, including around the eyes and on the forehead area.
Please also note that studies have shown that the water content of formulations does impact the utility level of topical Argireline and specifically that higher water content results in better utility. This formulation is water-based and avoids oils, esters and silicones.
Argireline can be found in many high-end skin formulations, but we decided to release a neat version, which can be used on the forehead and around the eye area before heavier treatments. Wayne has announced to me that he can’t wait to get this on his skin. I think I know what that may mean. Perhaps I should emigrate – permanently and take him with me! Argireline Solution 10% £5.50 for 30 ml
100% Plant-Derived Squalane
Squalane is a saturated and stable hydrocarbon that is found naturally in the skin. It has very high emollience, is an exceptional hydrator and can prevent ongoing loss of hydration that impairs dermal suppleness. Squalane is non-comedogenic and is suitable for use on all skin types. It can also be applied to hair to increase heat protection, add shine and reduce breakage potential. This product uses 100% pure plant-derived Squalane that is ECOCERT approved and is a USDA Certified Bio-based Product. 100% Plant-Derived Squalane £5.50 for 30 ml
Alpha Lipoic Acid 5%
Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is a highly potent antioxidant and can restore a renewed skin appearance, improving visible skin texture when applied topically. This formulation uses an exceptionally high 5% concentration of high-purity Alpha Lipoic Acid, so please note the following:
Alpha Lipoic Acid is highly sensitive to sunlight. Please do not expose to direct sunlight. Application to face is recommended at night-time only. Alpha Lipoic Acid is less stable in formulations that contain water and use of formulations of ALA containing water is highly discouraged. This formulation is water-free and may feel slightly “oily” for a few seconds after application. This formulation contains an extremely high concentration of ALA. Daily use is not recommended since such a high frequency of use can cause skin sensitivity. Please therefore use two-three drops only, two-three times a week. Less is more. Alpha Lipoic Acid 5% £5.90 for 30 ml
Yes! Finally! I was just reading now the Newsletter that we got in the mail, and was looking to get squalane oil for months! Was hard to find it in pure form, and some brands were just too greedy with the price! That muscle freezer sounds like topical gentle botox hehe ....will wait to see how it works on other human hamsters before I get it too =D
Just read and realized.....squalane is good oil to use as a hair serum! I am so getting the bottle of it later on (have still so many serums to destash first....I am bathing myself with skincare products just to get to start using all things Deciem lol)
OK, been reading some sci stuff on ALA and its effects on the skin....want that too =D
How long does it take for an order to reach you from the Deciem site? Because I am seeing a lot of complaints about orders direct from the site and poor customer service from customers complaining on Instagram.
I ordered last year NIOD and Deciem packs from Victoria health, and took 2 weeks to arrive after dispatch (weekends including). This how much time normally takes to get stuff in general from UK. My friend got hers also in 2 weeks. Deciem site directly...do not know, but not to worry, it will come hehe
I ordered at approx 4am UK time (from Victoria Health) and 6 hours later got a shipping notification - interesting to see how long it will take as it is priority shipping - but then again I have found from UK it gets here pretty quick but then Australia Post plays football with it for a good week before they lob it onto my doorstep.
I'll order from Victoria Health next time seeing as they had some of the products I wanted which were not available on Deciem site (weird). I wanted the Squalene too when I read the description but it wasn't available. I think I have enough to play around with for now anyway!
I can't believe I only just heard of this brand! It sounds fantastic and I can't wait to hear everyones reviews on the products
got my order today, not bad, 10 days after ordering!
Wow! So fast! Can not wait to see your report back as well when you manage to use them!!!
Ooh, how exciting Duality. I hope you enjoy these products
Yay duality! I ordered the same day as you, but through the deciem site and I'm still waiting for mine. Can't wait to see what you think.
I have a PSA to make for Melbournian beauties!
I went to the Myer at Southland Shopping Centre today and was so surprised to discover that they appear to have almost every Deceim brand in stock! I did a price comparison with what I paid for from their online site and the prices are exactly the same.
Edit: Just saw an Insta commenter confirm they are also available at the Myer at Highpoint. :)
Great find! I'll have to check my local Myer!
great find Ethelinde! I must go check my local Myer - although not confident as it's a pretty small store compared to the Melbourne branches
FYI I finally received my order yesterday but ordered from their site on 26 Jan, shipping notice by 3 Feb and received it 18 Feb.
I'm dying to check out the Sydney Store. Has anyone been?
No...where is it again?
I went to shop on. Weekend in Sydney. Everything was sold out. Shelves bare. Said new stock later in week. It's in the rocks.
I saw this in Myer Sydney today. Very tempted to buy the 23% Vit C which is less than $10 !!
