hello was hopeing to find some people with simmiler issues my skin is dry at the moment and having trouble keeping it moist and happy any suggestions for skincare and makeup whould be greatly appreciated
I also have the same issue. I was looking for something for the coming winter. Which lotion should I use to protect myself and my skin.
I am a dry skin type. I would go as far as to say thirsty as I get visible dry patches if I don't maintain it. One main thing to understand from the outset is that hydrating and moisturising are two different, not alternating or similar, concepts. Hydration fills your cup with water. Moisturisers ensure that water stays in your cup. While there are many 4-in-1 products on the market, you fundamentally need to target both hydration and moisturisation as separate issues to address. I also think for our particular skin type, facial oils are preferable to hydrating serums - I mean both are great but facial oils are your BFF when things are really dire. Then follow that with a thick moisturiser/cream and you're good to go for a solid day.
Also, it is important you stick with a nourishing or hydrating primer. Designer Brands has a good hydrating primer that is budget-friendly: https://www.dbcosmetics.com.au/skin-quencher-primer-and-moisturiser. I have also used their hydrating foundation, which is quite light but gives fairly medium to full coverage.
My own experience has also been to avoid makeup that is powder-based. For example, I prefer cream blushes over powder blushes, if I can.
I'm also agree with you here. Make up is good but not for always. Rather try for something like- powder.
Try using facial oils. I like Trilogy rosehip oil. It helps with my dry skin.
Yep I agree! I love the trilogy rosehip oil!
Also, mixing in 2-3 drops of oil in your favourite foundation really helps when you want to wear makeup if you have dry skin.
Don't know if this would work for everyone but applying a coat of sunscreen before foundation has helped me.
I have terribly dry skin too. I have indulge on the Clarins brand blue orchid facial oil. On top of that, daily serum with Estee Lauder advanced night serum.
Make up wise, i suggest dewy finish. No powder as powder make up exagerates the fine lines. I use a makeup setting spray to finish.
How did you recover using them? Does there any effects?
thankyou to everyone for your suggestions I will give them all a go
Carry on buddy. All the best!
I was on the look out the find some nails I had been using acrylics for so long and I was over the time it took .
Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque is a good working facial mask. It contains cranberry and turmeric which is great for the skin.
Simple Reviving Under-Eye Hydrogel Mask is a really good product. It applies under the eyes and offers hydration for the eyes. It contains minerals and plant extracts that are good for the skin.
