can anyone recommend a good, cheap moisturiser which won't make my skin ultra oily in summer?
Natio have a lovely range, they do an Evening Primrose moisturiser for oily skiin, I think it's about $12. I have dry skin so I havn't tried it, but the brand is fantastic.
Try the Olay range,
at the moment I'm
using "Olay Complete UV protection all day moisure cream for sensitive skin",
get @ pricleine, coles or woolies
I concur that Natio moisturisers are a good all-rounder on a budget... :) good value, does the job...
I like the QV range which can be purchased from the chemist. they are cheap and gentle on the skin. I also like the Olay range with sunscreen in it.
If your skin gets really oily, try only using a primer in the day, and moisturiser cream at night.
I use sorbolene moisturiser, but not on my face, for my face I think I use L'oreal moisturiser
I agree with gemini69 - Olay is great and not too expensive! They have a few varieties so you can choose the one appropriate for your skin type.
try palmer cocoa butter its pretty cheap and smell great and its really moisturising
The Neutrogena skinclearing moisturiser is really light if you have oily skin and only around $12-$15.
i don't really have oily skin but i recomend natio it's great and affordable you can check out what people have reviewed on the product. You can get it quite cheap from your pharmacy.
the body shop's teat tree and seaweed reanges have good mattifying moisturisers. the tea tree one is cheaper, it's about $16.
Nivea Visage Oil-Free Moisturising Lotion works great for oily skin types, see:
nutrimetics - apricot body dew. Beautiful fragrencel, light and non greasy. leaves skin rehydrated and silky smooth.
for an intense moisturiser...
nutrimetics - nutri-rich oil. a bit on the expencive side, but you dont need much for a deep moisturisation for anywhere on the body. Even my partner uses it on his hands after work!!!
I like Johnson's Holiday Skin Facial Moisturiser, its light, silky & velvety. Its supposed to give you a light tan, but I can't notice the difference to be honest.
I think you should get a moisturising spray, Garnier have them e.g body coccoon
My expensive moisturiser ran out and I'm on a budget at the moment so thought I'd try something cheaper. I've been very happy with the Nivea Refreshingly Soft Moisturising Cream which leaves my skin soft and no oily film! Love it!
Olay and Loreal are great products at a reasonable price. Totally recommend these brands
Well, all of us can suggest name of a moisturizer, but I would like to suggest you should consult a dermatologist if you want to use a product in long run. Because they can tell you what kind of skin you have and which product will suit you.
Using different products can damage your skin and that can be responsible for the early aging signs. So, top moisturizers or best anti aging products by experts are always beneficial. Go deeper to get the quality!
Your comment has merit, but once you add up the cost of the GP appointment to get a referral, and then the cost of the appointment with a dermatologist, just for a moisturiser recommendation, that’s going to add up to quite an expensive exercise.
Maybe if she had a specific or difficult skin concern it would be worthwhile.
Actually, just realised this thread is from 2007. I’m sure the OP has already gone out and bought her moisturiser!
I have struggled with every single bb cream I have ever tried as even the lightest shades are always too dark and orange for me. Finally, finally, a bb cream that is actually light and not orange!
This is pretty much a wet wipe.
It's individually packaged which is convenient, and easy to slip into my bag.
