Wondering if any of you aussie girls are fans of the Mario Badescu products?
Personally, I am crazy about it. I have the whole range and they work great, especially the drying lotion and herbal hydrating serum.
HAs anyone tried the Special Healing Powder?
I know I posted this somewhere else but I am dying to try the silver powder, is there any way to get it that's cheaper than kit cosmetics or direct from the MB website which slams for shipping from US????
I've used the Enzyme cleanser which I liked a lot, its a very gentle cleaner so I used to use it in the morning or on days when I didn't wear make up.
I ws recommended the silver powder by the ladies on the forums here and I have never looked back. If you get heaps of blackheads and heaps of clogged pores I would seriously recommend it.. its what ive been using now and nothing would get rid of the blackheads..untill I tried this.
I havent used any of there other products so far but from my experience I wouldnt hestitate to try them..let us know
I have heard of the drying lotion and I really want to try it but the postage and handing is so expensive.
Hmmm does anyone know how generous kit cosmetics is with samples??? I can be sold if there's samples lol
But it would also mean going into the city, BLURGH!
Empire, I've found the SA's at Kit to be quite generous with samples, especially compared to most other beauty counters. When I bought my cleanser I received 3 other skincare samples in little pots, and also on another occasion when I was just browsing I asked if I could have a few samples to try out at home and they were happy to give them out :)
I've purchased the drying lotion and drying cream from KIT but used them once and have touched them since. This is not to say they aren't good products, they are decent at diminishing the size of a pimple, but they are far too drying to the point that my pimple will reduce in size but I'll be left with flaky skin for the next 4 days.
that sounds great sparkle! Cheers for the advice, sounds like a trip into the city would be worth it then :)
I already know that I want the silver powder, and if I could have 3 samples I would have drying cream, healing crream, and ceramide eye gel
I am a bit p'd off at MD because I have been a fan of their Silver Powder for ages now and am a member of their website which is US based, recently I got a voucher from them for my birthday and I went to place an order from the US site for 2 products to utilize the voucher, then when I got to the checkout they charged a crazy $50 for postage, I was not impressed, so I emailed them and they never bothered to reply back, I guess if you want to use MD then you have to pay a higher price and purchase from Kit, because the postage from the US makes it cost more than the price here in OZ, lol.
Wow! Definitely not a nice b'day present in the end if it caused such frustration Melmeko! Hope the rest of your b'day was great and totally made up for the company's blunder... if you could call it that.
I know I'm dying to order from ThinkGekk.com all the time, but not to the point that I'd pay their shipping (very similar prices... UPS I think???). It's even more frustrating knowing that the eBay seller I get my NYX stuff from in the US charges barely anything for big orders, so cheaper postage options do exist and such sites should therefore offer them to international buyers.
And Lennie I know how you feel with stuff that treats a pimple, only to replace it with something just as problematic. Thanks for the heads-up. I've found most spot treatments do the same to me so I'm avoiding them and it's working out well.
Exactly gemo, I have gotten heaps of things from the US for only a couple of dollars, that kind of pricing just kills it for us wanting to shop overseas to take advantage of better pricing :(
yeah the shipping costs were a huge turn-off for me. I'm willing to pay the mark-up that kitcosmetics put on if the silver powder is as good as everyone says it is...
Anybody used their acne treatment kit?
does it work?
is it worth the money?
is one of the products really effective?
I was going to try a couple of products because they were so cheap in USD but since I discovered the shipping cost I didn't bother, Kit marks up pretty high but I would only go for the Silver Powder because I know it works, I wouldn't pay that much just to try a product unfortunately, you could try and get hold of a few samples maybe??
ok thanks, I want to try the drying lotion so I'll get that and some samples.
Let me know how you get on with the drying lotion, that was the product I had on order with the silver powder but couldn't get it because the postage was too much :(
Hi girls, I've got blackheads and clogged pores and I'm interested in the silver powder. I think last time on the kit website, it was under $50 - but I can't remember if that was Aussie dollar or USD. Also, how do we use the silver powder and how long does a jar last? Thanks ladies!
might be off to visit the kit counter for the first time today, very excited!!!
Hey ladies. I just recieved a bunch of Mario Badescu products today. I've been wanting to try them for ages. Cant wait to test them all out =D
Chrissy, where did you buy them from? You'll have to let us know what you think of it all!
Hey Dee. Sorry for the late reply (Only logged on quickly earlier because I've been studying for an exam tmrw :( Not fun) Anyways I've been studying for the last few hours so break time!
I got mine off ebay - for about the same price as the MB website but with a fraction of the postage costs. I already let mel know about it because i know she was after some silver powder and now that i'm done studying for the night have time to re-look up the details and post it here for all you lovely ladies.
I bought my haul from this seller : http://myworld.ebay.com.au/makeupboutique/
Can i just say I was/am super super impressed with them. I got my order within a week! Yup a week!!!! From the US. and they offer combined postage at a very reasonable price. Only a dollar or two for each extra item! Fantastic or what?!
So heres what I got in my haul!!! (dw dee I will let you guys know my experiences once I get a chance to try it all out!)
for only $120US including postage! At Kit the Acne Repair Kit costs $120 alone!!!! I think I got a pretty good bargain! =)
What a great haul chrissynick! you must be rapt.
I did make it to Kit cosmetics on friday, and got the silver powder for about $35 which is a ridiculous markup but the pot is bigger than I expected and I imagine it will last ages. was disappointed it wasnt actually a silver powder thought haha, its just white. They were very generous with their samples though, and I got mini pots of the drying cream (love this product, it almost acts as a concealer, I would consider buying this fullsize), healing cream (havent used this yet, it looked like more of a moisturiser, might use it on and around my nose which gets very red) and ceramid eye gel (this is a bit meh, I know its only been 3 days but I'm impatient lol I wouldnt get this fullsize)
let me know what you think of the drying cream chrissynick!
Hey Empire. Good to know you got a good amount of samples. My nearest kit is in the city which is a bit of a pain... only because I dont get time to go in often enough.
So far I've tried out the silver powder (lol I know I opened it and was like. oh. its white =P) And love love LOVE it! I have terrible blackheads, especailly on my nose. 10 minutes and like 95% of them are gone! I was very impressed! And I also tried out a bit of the healing cream before i went to bed. Its an odd colour, but doesnt really smell like much so thats okay.
I have to say that my skin felt alot nicer this morning than it has in some time. Usually when I use products I am bitterly disappointed cuz they just dont make much of a difference, but yeah, so far i'm really happy with MB. I was impressed that my skin felt great after just one day! I wasnt expecting any difference so soon, but my skin truly felt good! I dont know how else to describe it :P Hopefully it stays effective in the long run!!!! Will update you on the other stuff as I try it out more :)
Hi Chrissynick! Hope your exams went well! I'm interested in the silver powder... how do you use it? And is the drying cream a pimple treatment? Sounds like one anyway. Hope you go well with your new products!
Empire I'm glad to hear you got samples of some other products to try! I think more beauty brands should be generous with samples, I find most brands quite stingy and it puts me off. Hope the products work well for you :D
Palmolive cashmere bouquet bar soap lavender is a soap my mum always buys and uses. She gives me bars when I visit. The smell is very nice and leaves a scent on my skin.
As a regular user of lip balms, i was very keen to see how the Minenssey Lip Spa would compare to my normal go to brand.
Over all such a great concealer for it's price. It's cheap, available in most stores you hop into and multi use for a range of makeup needs. It's not full coverage.
