Forehead Wrinkles: what actually works?
Forehead Wrinkles: what actually works?
I'm willing to save up and pay whatever for a product that will actually visibly lesson my forehead wrinkles.
I am 25 and I suspect it's been a combination of genetics and smoking (for 6 years, quit now) that caused wrinkles at 23-24 years old. Pretty much right after my acne (naturally) disappears, I get this.
I don't have a huge budget so I have no way of trying everything on my own, but I'm willing to spend on something that actually works and doesn't ruin my skin once I stop (acne products tend to do that - make your skin worse if you stop).
I'd love to hear what you have actually seen deliver you results with forehead wrinkles!

Definitely feels effective
This product is based on plant stem cells! Such a great concept. Andalou is an American company, cruelty free and vegan, so good! Packaging is simole. And clean looking.
Delicious smell

Does the job
Foot and heel balm plus.

I can recommend Estée lauder advanced eye repair.....you can use it all over your face and it is also gentle enough for the eye area. I had a sample and am now really wanting this again. I noticed a big difference in my skin when I stopped using it.....it really reduces fine lines and evens out your skin tone, acne scars and I even put it on any zits haha it's good for pretty much anything!
I agree this product is amazing
You should try a retinoid product. This is the main ingredient to fight off signs of ageing like wrinkles. It's got lots of clinical research behind it.
The strongest is a prescription you get from your Dr: Retin A (tretinoin). I have one called Retrieve which I use for my acne but it can be used for anti ageing too. The problem with it is it can be quite strong and you may need to ease into it. It can cause peeling and irritation when you start using it. However, the results are great.
The next level down is from Avene. They patented a retinoid called Retinaldehyde so it is only found in their products - specifically, Eluage or Ystheal. Eluage is more for drier skin types while Ystheal is better for combination skin. I've tried Ystheal myself and it is terrific but I would go for Eluage next time because I need the extra hydration in it now.
The next level down from Retinaldehyde is retinol which is found in quite a few skincare products. I presently use Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum. But you can check out RoC and I think Neutrogena? (Not sure).
If I were you, I'd go for one of the Avene Retinaldehyde products as they are easy to use and you won't get any problems with peeling. You MUST wear sunscreen daily and only use your retinoid at night. Hope this info helps you. :)
Try the retinol and face masks first. After that, there are always filler products. Alas, I don't know how they work but they're out there, and cheaper than Botox.
Great advice here beauties! Will be taking on these tips.
You ARE kidding, aren't you??????? Lemon juice all over your skin!!! My super sensitive skin is repelling just reading this. Do we mix it all up and drink it when we've finished wrecking perfectly good fruit? Honestly, SaraBiston - what are you on about? Thanks for the giggle.
1) Make sure you get good fats in your diet - eg. Avocados, chia seeds, nuts 2) Avoid too much alcohol consumption 3) Use gentle skin care products and have a simple routine 4) Use sunscreen and avoid tanning 5) Try a natural moisturising oil that suits your skin. Most oils have different antioxidant and anti-aging properties so it just depends what works for you (eg. Rosehip oil, olive squalene, jojoba oil, argan oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, wheat germ oil, sesame oil, virgin coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, evening primrose oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, pomegranate oil, seabuckthorn oil, etc...) 6) Try the Skin Doctors Gamma Hydroxy cream. It exfoliates over time and reveals smoother skin that looks more "fresh." I would use it nightly for 2 months then stop for a few months and just moisturise with an oil, until I feel like I need it again.
I have always had forehead wrinkles (genetics etc too) If you don't want botox or methods like that I have found that anti-ageing serums and creams make a difference especially if they have hyaluronic acid or hyaluronate in products helps because it adds moisture and plumps the skin minimising the look of wrinkles. I know loreal had products with this in them, Dr Lewinns (which I found great) and John Plunkett had some great ones. When you fifnish using the hyaluronate products I did find that the wrinkles started to become a little more noticeable again if my skin wasn't well hydrated and moisturiesd. The Elizabth Arden Prevage range also worked well for mine but its pricier than some other option. The results lasted after using the cream and serum better than other products I have used. I have learn't that smiling and not worrying about the wrinkles is the best option for me unless i'm willing to try something harsher which at the moment i'm not keen to do. A great rho or Akin's cellular recovery serum (I think it was called) worked o.k giving softer results and natural options for me. Good luck, hopefully trying a few different items over time will help determine what works for you.
Neutrogena have a product called Rapid Wrinkle Repair that has some good reviews. Whilst I havent used this product myself, it's not too expensive at around $25. It also contains retinol and has an SPF 30 to help protect against UV rays.

Botox. That's what works.
Joke ;-)
Well it does! It freezes muscles when people frown, so it prevents them from forming and relaxes those that are tense already. Though I have no wrinkles yet, so have no idea, but have seen people who did it and it ironed their forehead. I am not a frowner, so I do not worry about these.
Interesting. I will try it because I can see these nasty two lines on my forehead and I feel very weary about Botox or other feelers. Natural methods are the best

Prevention- start using Prevage (prevent-aging)... it's helping with my pigmentation and preventing what's coming
I have used the Loreal Revitalift for my neck wrinkles and i can see the improvement after 1 week. It is not too expensive as well. I think it is worth a go.
Such great advice on this thread thanks heaps :-)
