Hi beauties, please share what you all do to get rid of facial hairs?
hi nidhi1, i've found that threading's pretty effective at removing facial hair, as it's not very messy but can be somewhat painful. md visage also make smooth & easy hair away, which is a crystal micro-dermabrasion hair removal system. this is relatively painless and easy to use, so it could be worth a shot
I have fine dark hairs on my upper lip and swear by medilight (IPL) i've been having it done for a few years now I just get a top up once a year and it works really well. Quick and pretty painless it feels like a flick of a rubber band.
If I get the odd one I always just pluck it :)
Do you mean eyebrows and upper lips or just generally hair all over the face?
For upper lips i use Nair sensitive hair removal cream :)
i use to use a hard wax on my upper lip and it now doesnt grow back as thick but i get the odd long dark hair on my neck (thanks to the european heritage) and i just pluck these ...
i have the same problem as you Ruby77 i wax my upper lip and sometimes I get a dark hair randomly growing under my chin which I just tweeeze out. as for eyebrows I get them waxed every month by my beautician and then i pluck them every few days to maintain them,
thanks for those info. I normally use threading for my upper lips but I don't know how to remove hairs from sides of my cheeks.
thanks VioletRandom for info about MD Visage. I have never heard about it. I will definitely give it a try.
i don't know what threading is? could someone explain?
ILuvNailPolish this will explain it for you http://www.ottoman3.com.au/eyebrow-threading/
I have some on my upper lip too and I used to pluck these out, but it is so time consuming. I can't wax because my skin is sensitive to bandages. Been looking around on BH for a good hair removal cream, but not all of them have reviews.
@ JayeKaye, do you find the Nair sensitive hair removal cream stings or makes your skin sensitive?
threading is the ancient asian way of shaping eyebrows and plucking out hairs from upper lips, chins or cheeks. Its basically a thread which can be twisted to pluck hairs. You can find several videos on youtube over threading.
thanks for the info PB and nidhi it doesn't seem that expensive either.
ya I think threading is the cheapest option for eyebrows and upper lips.
yea i agree i feel threading is just so easy and inexpensive great way to get rid of any unwanted hairs its kind of like plucking bu tmore gentle on the skin and stuff many advantages
I'm also a BIG fan of threading! I feel like I get a better shape with threading vs. waxing and it's also cheaper. It hurts the first time but you get used to it. More recently a friend of mine went on a trip to Japan and brought me back this little device. It's bastically a long thin spring, it's about the diamater of a pencil. You just simply hold the ends of the spring, bend the ends down so it looks like an upside down U and then you simply place the top curved part on the area you want to remove hair from and twist the ends. It works just like threading. as you twist the ends of the spring and move it against your hairs, the hairs get caught in the spring and are plucked out. It works great on my upper lip!! Saves me money and it's super easy to use!
Just found this youtube video as I'm sure many are confused by my explanation! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_MP513a0v8
Nidhi1, this would be a great way for removing hairs from your cheeks as the reviewer in the youtube video does.
hey thanks everyone for usefull ideas..... :)
I have my eyebrows waxed professionally every 3 weeks by an amazing eyebrow specialist, she has got a special gift.
Then I wax my upper lip myself using the Nair Pretty Mini Wax Strips Apple, they are great.
Sometimes I also use waxing strips of the sides of my face, but thats rare.
Threading is by far the best option for hair removal on the face. I get my full face threaded every couple of months and my eyebrows done once a month. PLEASE DO NOT USE HAIR REMOVAL CREAM ON YOUR FACE - this is just like shaving. With threading it wont pull on ur skin, it wont make you break out you wont get a grey shadow like you do with waxing.
I love threading so much that i did a course in it recently lol
Where can you go to get threading? I have heard of it before but never really looked into it.
Hey beauties, I have thin amounts of upper lip hair an I find using the good ol silkymitt on it does wonders it takes away the hair and Leaves my lip smooth. Although Now iv noticed that they have one of these made for facial hair unsure of the name tho :)
sumaya - i found alot of gumtree.com.au im in Melbourne and rooprani in the City is really good and Silkysmooth in Carnegie is good as well
I do the same as JayeKaye. I use Nair hair removal for sensitive skin. It works well and is reasonably cheap because a tube lasts forever.
Thanks for that kaytie, i'll check it out :-)
This gradual smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling silly smooth and hydrated. It absorbs into the skin really well and gives me a really natural looking tan.
I received this as part of the Oct discovery bag (thanks BH!) and was keen to try out this Australian cruelty-free brand.
I received this product as part of a trial team. This is my first trial so its ironic that it would be food.
