Help I have suddenly developed dry skin on my eye lids and not sure what to use on them
Try a tiny amount of coconut oil.
Do you know what the possible cause is?
I believe there are specific products made that can be used on your eyelids but I would probably talk to your GP first.
Because it's your eyes I would be super careful with whatever products you use/consider using.
I'd try something that absorbs pretty fast and doesn't heat up and move (like oils). I use olay microgenist night cream on my face including eyelids every night for this reason. Its got a gel like consistancy. Good luck with it.
I use castor oil for my eyelashes and put a bit over my eyelids as well. It's very moisturising and all natural too, as since its very sticky it doesn't run into your eyes.
thankyou all I will try these out and let you know
OMG I actually have the EXACT same problem! Never had dry skin around my eyes and suddenly this winter my lids are like the Sahara... I've done the following 3 things and that seems to have at least helped:
What sort of hydrating cream do you use
Basically depends on whatever I have on me! The dry lids seem to set on more often at work or on a day out, so whatever is in my desk drawer or purse, which is usually moisturizers that I don't necessarily adore but have to get through :-p so I end up using them more often to make up for the fact that they don't work as well. At the moment that's mostly my Aveeno moisturizer - which doesn't REALLY work for me but is "better than nothing", and does the trick if I apply it frequently.
Use a bit of Lanolips. Any lip balm would do actually but the tiniest amount should do the trick.
I suggest paw paw ointment!
I would use something like rosehip oil, jojoba oil etc. Botáni's Olive Skin Serum would also be good. I would not recommend coconut oil on the eyelids because it has a heavier consistency and it has the potential to cause milia.
I have been using this brow mascara for years now, and am still in love with it! I use it all the time, especially when I am in a rush, and need to do my brows fast!
This is the first time I tried Blessed by Nature Face Cream . I have tried their cleanser before and I'm pretty much convinced the smells will always be refreshing.
I have the matte lipstick in the shade pink plaid which is a beautiful matte pink shade with mauve undertones, when applied looks very retro, and is pretty long lasting.
