I am just about to run out of both my day and night cream so I am looking for suggestions for a new one of both... preferably one that does not test on animals.
Juz4ben, so that you receive suggestions appropriate to your skin, let us know your skin type, any skin issues you have, and how much you are prepared to spend. Do you prefer brands with synthetic chemicals, or do you prefer natural-based brands such as Trilogy, A'kin, La Mav, Sukin etc? Are you prepared to shop online, or do you prefer to shop in stores such as Priceline? Do you prefer brands from Sephora, Mecca etc? Do you prefer cosmeceutical style skin care products?
You said that you prefer products that are not tested on animals. I started a thread which has information on cruelty-free brands etc. Cruelty Free Kitty seems to have one of the most comprehensive lists on cruelty-free brands:
Generally speaking, natural-based skin care brands do not test their products on animals.
I love the idea of day and night creams.
The last ones I used are the ones from Woollies. They were alright and really affordable.
I’ve been using the Drunk Elephant products, I bought “The Little’s” kit and I am definitely impressed.
It’s a bit on the pricey side but worth it! At first I thought it wasn’t doing anything until I slacked on using the products and noticed that my skin was desperately wanting care again!
It’s a bit of effort, day cream and moisturiser after an exfoliating wash in the morning and then at night a night cream and oil and after a cleansing wash. But you can definitely chop and change what you use to suit your style.
Personally I don't usually do the day/night distinction. Except any cream with SPF I use during the day only. If I find a moisturiser that works for me I can use it day or night or both. There are alao specific treatments (e.g. AHA / Vit C) that I like to use at night only.
Thanks Ladies. I definitely didn't put that much thought into Petal... but I might have to do some research to find out what I am actually looking for.
Rosehip Plus has a great day and night cream... Cruelty free... You can get it from Chemist Warehouse...
I currently use Rosehip for my day cream :)
I like Essano Rosehip line. But also quite like Loreal's face cream. Very affordable too.
Fantastic idea! I even didn't know much about day & night cream. Please keep me updatesd.
sukin is CF and has a really nice night cream
I've reported the previous post by Lisiana Carter as spam. I've reported spam for the company countless times.

I often use night cream during the day time for my dry, sensitive skin. I prefer the richness of the night cream all day when weather is so drying.
This body spray is lovely and light smelling it's not overly overbearing in scent.
This scrub was good as a light exfoliator but did not do much to change how my skin felt.
This product comes in single-dose capsules which twist open to reveal a silky, luxurious serum. The packaging is very elegant and special, ensuring the freshness of the active ingredients.
