I recently bought a NutriBullet and I'm really excited to try and make different smoothies.
Does anyone have any suggestions for what they put in their smoothies?
I make a really yummy green smoothie!
1/2 apple, 1 orange, 1 banana, handful of baby spinach, ice, a good splash of mango nectar and a small splash of water!
Another one we like is blueberries, oats, honey, milk/almond milk, ice, chia and sometimes we add a banana.
Enjoy! I love smoothies for breakfast!
Thanks for your suggestion!!
Do you just get mango nectar from Woollies?
I'm a breakfast smoothie girl, these are my 2 regulars
60ml coffee - espresso or cold drip
1 1/2 cups almond milk
1 tablespoon rolled oats
1 teaspoon chia seeds
Some honey to sweeten
1 cup mixed berries
3/4 cup milk (reg or coconut)
3/4 cup vanilla bean natural yogurt
1 tablespoon shredded coconut (option depending on milk choice)
Hope you love one of these!
Thank you so much!! Can't wait to add oats and coconut shreds to it.
I do a breakfast smoothie too! Here's what I put in mine:
Occasionally I'll put a little bit of honey in it if my smoothie tastes too bitter from the raw cacao powder, but I try not to make it too sweet because the fruit usually does the job for me. This mix generally makes 1-2 smoothies, depending on how much stuff I've put in. It's probably too much for one person, but I still drink it anyway.
Thanks so much for this!!
Ginger is a really refreshing and invigorating ingredient. Every time I drink anything with ginger my body feels so much lighter. Adds a nice touch of spice to smoothies. Not to mention it's fat-burning and super healthy too! Enjoy your smoothies ;) xx
Buy some psylium husk to put in your smoothies, You can't taste it and it adds a great deal of fibre to your day
I usually add chia seeds to my smoothies!
You will love your nutri bullet (I got mine for Christmas in 2015). I usually put almond milk (occasionally i also use coconut milk.), chia and linseed, natural yogurt. For fruit I tend to put blueberries or mixed berries, banana or mango. I also add two weetbixs occasionally to give it a bit of a boost.
Spinach leaves and peanut butter, works well with everything!
I use, 1 scoop of happy way vanilla protein powder with a hand full of mixed berries and a frozen banana with water!
Love Happy Way! Can't wait for the Salted Caramel to be shipped - will be such an easy combo with a banana, some ice, and some almond milk!
Generally depends what you have at hand, but truthfully lots of greens in a smoothie is always the best option.
I tend to put whey protein whatever flavour i have at home, mixed frozen berries, zero-fat greek yoghurt, lots of spinach, kale, celery, cucumber, banana to make it thicker, almonds and sometimes and apple for some added sweetness.
I like to add chia seeds, linseed, protein powder, maca and spirulina to all my smoothies, and then depending on what I feel like, it could be greens, berries, banana, yogurt and whatever else I've got in the fridge.
It's the easiest way to boost my fruit and veg intake :)
I love a smoothie made with, Blueberries, banana, pineapple, chia seeds, rolled oats, dates, coconut water and some milk, oh and a touch of tumeric. This smoothie is packed full of anti-inflammatory goodies, can help with my rheumatoid arthritis. Love my NutriBullet.
I've never thought of putting oats in my Smoothies - I'm going to try it. I love making my own LSA (in my coffee grinder)-with whatever seeds I have in the fridge (Linseeds, Flax, Chia, Sesame, Sunflower, etc) and I always add that to my Smoothies for some good healthy fats. Otherwise I am quite boring - protein powder, banana, yoghurt, frozen berries and almond milk
I like to keep it simple... My favourite right now is Apple, banana, cinnamon and chia seeds....
I also love Pears, Kale, Spinach, Carrot and Cucumber...
Odd combinations, but super yummy!!! Ha ha!!!
This is my favorite green smoothie as it has a good mix of basically all the essential vitamins AND it actually tastes good
2 Kiwi Fruits (diced with skin still on)
Handful of spinach leaves
Half a lemon juiced
Half a cucumber
Tablespoon chia seeds
A little fresh parsley
Then add about 1 and half cups of water or apple juice and blend.
With fruit juices I just throw together whatever I have on hand at the time. It all tastes pretty good . My favorites usually berries,a banana ,honey, chia and milk.Getting vegetables to taste good is another matter but that green smoothie I listed above tastes great!
To make a Yummy Purple Smoothie, I generally use two spoonfuls of Greek yogurt,
a good handful of mixed berries, half to 3/4 almond milk, a teaspoon of cinnamon, frozen banana pieces, chia seeds and a teaspoon of raw honey. Drink Up!
I favour kale becuase the taste is not so strong, and almost always add spirulina. Also cacao and walnut is a favourite.
cashews are good for a creamy texture.
I put almost everything I find in my refrigerator into my smoothies. And sometimes the result tasts astonishing delicious!
I was fortunate enough to receive the Weleda Skin Food Light moisturiser at the Glosscar Marketplace event, and get the opportunity to trial it on my skin.
I love that the Toni&Guy StrengthPlex Bond Repair Shampoo is infused with Australian harvested Kakadu Plum.
Although my skin is a bit dry and quite sensitive, I have a few enlarged pores (mainly on my nose), and I occasionally have the odd whitehead, so I was looking forward to trying this product; I lov
