So I've been told I have a 'premature bunyon' on my left foot, I'm only 23. Does anyone suffer from these? what can I do to prevent it getting any bigger?
Lol I so ddn't get the heading!
I have bunions too - stupid ballet dancing when I was young! AS far as I know there's nothing you can do other than very painful surgery to have them removed! :(
Not much you can do Bella. I'm 27 and had bunions on both feet since my early 20s. It is hereditary in my case.
I suggest seeing a podiatrist, my bunions are accentuated by my walking style - sounds funny I know, I don't look odd when I walk - but my feet hit the ground in an unusual way and kind of roll inward slightly, so the bunions grow to support the inside of my foot (so I've been told). I had a plaster cast of my foot made, and some orthotics prepared, and had to buy some shoes they fit inside. They are not the most attractive shoes (I call them my "Matron" shoes, as they look like what the grumpy matron in the maternity ward would wear!) but the relief I get makes them worthwhile. I wear the same orthotics in my joggers when I exercise. I still wear my pretty shoes (4-inch heels) on special occasions, but for everyday I use my podiatrist-approved shoes.
As Elmo says, the only thing to do to remove them is surgery, but that involves chipping off the bone - as that is what a bunion is made of!
I have had a bunion on my right foot since I was 17 (i am now 22). It has not changed in size.
oh yeah and I dont get the heading either lol!
Ouch guys! I think if I had one of these I'd head to my podiatrist to see what he could suggest.
Dont leave them go i did, i have 1 on each foot they hurt i carnt wear alot of summer shoes and worste of all they are a eyesore they make my feet look like they belong on the elephant man. Because i let them go they are now huge and i have to have surgery to get them cut off. GO NOW AND SEE ABOUT THEM.
love the heading! I have one from dancing when younger too Elmo, also my fault from wearing shoes without socks and not looking after my feet when younger. Mine hasn't changed size but I would like it G-o-n-e as it is aproblem when trying to find comfy shoes. Do you need your gp to refer you to see a podiatrist?
Goddess, you don't need a referral to a podiatrist, just call up and make an appointment. Your health fund may cover some or all of your visit and any orthotics you may need.
Do you miss Summer when your lips are chapped from cold winds and winters blustery conditions?
I swear by this product 100%! While at my cousins house, I left my nappy bag in the car and had to change my son so she offered me her products and nappies to use.
I received this as a present for Christmas and I was excited to try it! I love almond milk and I’d heard many good things about it! I was excited but so was my toddler who got ahold of it.
