Hey, girls. what do you used for your leg after shower? My legs feel very dry these days, do you have any recommendation?
Tulip my top picks for seriously dry legs is either Nivea moistursier for dry skin (dark blue bottle) and Garnier skin repair (red bottle) - both of these I find absolutely fantastic when you need a real moisture hit - the nivea one is very thick and a bit greasy - whereas the garnier one is a lighter consistency but both work wonders!
Hi Tulip, nice to meet you!
I use The Body Shop's Body Butters because they are supper hydrating and absorb so well. Oh and they smell dreamy MMmmm! (They sell in two sizes too) xx
I use coco body butter from the body shop :) it is soo good and smells heaps nice. and sometimes i use nivea or sorbelene.
i use nivea soft i think it works great and only cost like $8 for a tub
I have been using Johnson and Johnson "hair reducing" moisturiser but when I went to Priceline tonight to buy another bottle, they didn't even have a space on the shelf for it any more. :(
I use QV moisturiser after a shower.
Nivea Nourishing Lotion (dark blue bottle- for very dry skin) has got to be the best moisturiser for dry legs. I started using this about a month ago and for the first time ever my legs are super smooth.
I've been using Palmers cocoa butter with gradual tanner for about a month now in preparation for summer! It's very very hydrating, leaves skin feeling soft and gives me a streak-free tan at the same time. My skin feels so soft after applying it. Although, if you didn't want the tan they have other cocoa butter moisturisers without it which smell and feel just as lovely! :)
leg gloss by palmers is amazing, sparkly and body gloss. i use palmers love it!
hi tulip, i use body shop body butter & sometimes dove summer glow for fake tan and moisture,
I've been using Garnier's Body Cocoon, and love it!! It's in an orange bottle, and isn't too expensive either. I try to moisturise after I shave (usually before I go to bed) and sometimes after my morning shower as well. I'm definitely noticing a difference, it's great.
If your legs are super dry, Rosken High Potency Vitamin E cream is fantastic. I've been using it to try an get rid of some scars left from ingrown hairs, and I find it super duper moisutrising. It can leave your legs a little greasy to the touch for awhile so best to use before bed, but it definitely moisturises. I got a tube from Priceline for a measly $6 =)
I'm currently using Dermorganics moisturiser on my legs and rest of my body. It's a great lotion which isn't sticky and absorbs well. Doesn't contain any sulphates, parabens and any other nasties. I've done a BH review on it :)
I use Vaseline Intensive Care - the pump bottle is easy and always on hand in the bathroom. I dont find it at all greasy. I have used moisturiser on my legs all my life (age 41) and my legs are in great shape. I prefer to rub it in my hands first rather than pump it straight onto the leg. It has worked well for me.
A cheap and cheerful option is Sorbeline (Don't know if that's how it's spelt) It comes in a pump bottle, usually has vitamin E and is really gentle on your skin. I think you can buy it from Safeway for about $3.00.....
I find the Nivea leaves my legs feeling greasy, so I use either Sorbeline (with my own blend essential oil), or avocado (or almond) oil, I find the carrier oils absorb quicker on my skin than some moisturiers, and they feel silky for ages
I often use sorbolene or nivea. Both are affordable [well, sorbolene is even cheaper!], work well so you can go crazy and get a great result.
Billwig93 mentioned using Garnier's Body Cocoon. I've tried two of the body cocoon ones, one in a pump bottle and another as a spray. Personally it didn't work very well for me. I felt like my legs weren't getting as hydrated as it does with other products and it took a long to absorb. Maybe it's just my skin type.
Karensaid I haven't tried the body cocoon but I've tried the body repair lotion (red bottle) and I think it's fantastic!! It's light like a body milk, but it's super moisturising - lasts really well.
Hey Elmo, that sounds pretty good =D Was it fast to absorb?
Body Cocoon was a bit frustrating when I woke up the next day still with the feeling of moisturiser all over my legs!
cocoa butter, works wonders
Karensaid - yep it soaks in really fast - it's seriously awesome stuff - your skin is so so soft after using it! Haven't tried the cocoon one - wouldn't bother since trying the repair one!
nivea nourishing care lotion for dry skin its called, and also palmers cocoa butter
Definitely Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula or Johnsons 24hr Moisture (pink bottle)
Palmers is great stuff! I also like using body shops body butters and also vaseline's 'intensive rescue' is pretty good too- my boyfriend always comments on how soft my skin is after I use it! Hope this helps!
I love Nivea, it makes my skin so soft. But I also find that any moisturisers generally go the trick, even the cheap brands work for me. I would stay away from fragranced moisturiers though, esp if you have sensitive skin, and esp after waxing, if you wax. =0)
As a user of Lycon products in the past, I was really intrigued to try this at-home tanning mousse. Lycon is a salon-quality brand so I was really excited to give this a go.
The OLAY Eyes Ultimate Eye Cream is a rich textured eye cream that come sin a 15ml pot.
These retinol capsules have got to be one of the most luxurious things on the beauty market. I use this serum after cleansing.
