Desperatley needing some recommendations here.
My hair is a tamer, curly combined version of scary spice and the lion kings mufasa.
What is the best product for taming the frizz to make it more flatter, less fluffy and more curly?
Please help :(
Hopefully some BH members will be able to give you some help. I suggest that you check out some of the wonderful curly girl hair blogs and forums. Here is a start:
Curly girl hair stores in Australia:
I discovered the above websites when I found out that hair products with protein made my dry and slightly wavy/frizzy hair feel brittle and straw-like. The curly girl websites will give you information about different types of hair, products for hair types etc. I've never tried the curly girl hair method as it didn't seem right for me. Even if you don't use the curly girl hair method yourself, you should be able to learn a lot from the hair forums.
Those are great links Petal, thanks!
After straightening my hair for years I've decided to embrace the curls but I'm having a lot of difficulty getting it right as I struggle with frizz. Most products I've tried end up being too heavy and just make my hair look greasy (but hey, at least the frizz is gone lol!)
I'm going to have a good look at those links tonight when I have some more time.
I remember a time many moons ago when almost everyone was getting their hair permed so that their hair was curly; myself included.
LOL MissKingi I had to laugh at your post "combined version of scary spice and the lion kings mufasa" hilarious comparison! My daughter has frizzy hair from what used to be curls due to all the swimming she does I think.
The only thing that has actually softened it and made it not be such a fuzz ball that I've found it the TONI&GUY Damage Repair Shampoo- not sure if that will help you. Maybe you can get a sample of it somewhere?
I don't use silicones on my hair so it always has frizz to some degree. Putting a bit of coconut oil on your hands and rubbing them together and very very lightly putting it over the frizz helps. Too much though and it looks oily. All of the links provided here will be a great help.
I've just come to accept that as long as I don't use silicones on my hair it will always have frizz to some degree, so matter how gently I treat it.
All I use is just Argan Oil or Morrocan Oil as it is sometimes called, you can also use Coconut Oil as well to help with the frizz.
Maybe buy some deep leave on conditioners then rinse them out. There are many on the market these days in jars not just bottles.
Hope you find something that works for You.
Lol misskingi I love the way you described your hair =)
I don't have full curly hair, mine is more on the wavy side but I second trying moroccanoil and coconut oil. Have you tried a pre shampoo treatment? Coconut oil in the hair before shampooing out? It works wonders for hydrating the hair.
If you want to stop hair loss, first you should try in natural way, start oiling you hair thrice a week. Stop using electronic product like (Iron,Hair Dryer).
Hair loss is really common these days. But you don't need to worry at all as the advanced medical procedure of hair transplant is known to restore the hair in the most effective way. In fact, it is not only effective but also shows long-lasting results.
I love these little pots of skin goodness. They don’t leave the skin feeling dry.
Thank you so much to Beautyheaven. I was happy to be gifted this to trial at the recent Best in Beauty Market place event.
