Hi guys... would like to get your opinion on whitening toothpastes
has anyone used any whitening toothpastes?
do they work?
which ones are good?
i am using one at the moment... not too bad... results take a little longer than going to the dentist
I use white - glo, and I like it better than your average toothpaste. I think it is cheaper than a lot of the other whitening toothpastes too.
I use White-Glo as well, and find it to be a excellent product.
I also use white-glo & it is working ever so subtley. Even received a comment from my dentist too & I was happy there was less scaling involved in my last visit. Love the idea that white-glo also includes a free toothbruth.
I use sensodine whitening.. and the process is gradual but it sure is working
White glow contains a corosive, meaning it's removing stains from your teeth, as well as corrosing down the enamel on your teeth, deffinetely go for something gradual and less abrasive, like a whitening plate, strips, or a gentle toothpaste like sensodine or colgate ect.
White-glo is the go, at the moment I am using Colgate Advanced whitening and have seen less in terms of results compared to white-glo, can't wait till I get to the end of the tube so I can go back. Works for Coffee drinkers.
Im using Pearl Drops at the moment. It makes your teeth whiter in 3 weeks if you use it twice a day
I'm using Colgate MAXwhite with white strips (the toothpaste). I've only been using it for about a week and I think my teeth are slightly whiter! Someone told me over the weekend that my teeth are really white so I'm not complaining haha.
pearl drops didnt work for me, i think they are all bunch of hooby jooby
I use a Colgate toothpaste and thought I'd give the whitening a boost with the Colgate weekly whitening treatment and when i flipped the tube to see how much extra whitening ingredients was in the weekly treatment noticed that it was exactly the same! what a rip off, what a croc! how do big companies like this sleep at night...probably run by big dopey men in suits that have yellow teeth. wouldnt happen if a woman was in the room making decisions, she'd say "we need to have some integrity guys, we need to establish brand loyalty"
i think they expect people not to read labels. actually i don't know how they get away with this. i remember when they made the neck opening of the tube bigger so you used more paste per brush. they got into massive strife because it was found to be a deliberate move to rip people off. this is pretty much the same thing.
just do the right thing
keep coffee to a minimum and brush three times a day and remember to gargol!
It is really something when that happens, and yes I do think it maybe just a tactic then on earning revenue instead of producing a product of better quality and sticking on a higher price. A few of them do make your teeth more sensitive especially if you are not used them. So be careful, perhaps the sensitive whitening ones are a good choice if you don't mind the waiting part.
Im practically addicted to coffee so I thought I would give white and glo a try like others and found that it has been working for me and I think my teeth have gotten a shade whiter I think. However reading one particular post saying that it corrodes the enamel on the teeth Im beginging to wonder whether I should keep using it or switch to a less abrasive product.
I used a few different whitening toothpastes cant say I really noticed an exceptional difference, but then when you drink as much coffee as me I guess it it too be expected.
A few of them ie white glo did seem a little lighter but after hearing other comments about abrasiveness never re-purchased it when I ran out.
Claireabella, whered you get the information about White-glo? I was interested in trying White glo but after reading your post, I'm unsure.
claireabella, which ingredient is the corrosive one? The ingredients list looks ok to me.... it's actually more "natural" than other toothpastes.
I used white glo and found no difference. Maybe my teeth has reached a stain of no return. >.<
I use Colgate Total, Extra Whitening and I find it to be very effective when used twice a day. Also using a good quality toothbrush with a tongue scraper helps too.
The best thing you can do is cut back on coffee I've found.
I've been using white-glo with it's mouth guard gel as well for the last two weeks. I've seen a huge difference, even being a coffee drinker
hey adelyn, i am also using white glo and noticing a huge difference too! it is great isnt it :) ive only used it three times and already i see a difference . i ant wait to see what my teeth are like after two weeks.
I was really pleased with the results of Pearl Drops Replenishing White Toothpaste. It's so gentle and lifts off stains.
This oil has a very mild and pleasant smell to it. I applied this to a damp face and it absorbed quite well.
This cream has a very mild and pleasant scent.
I got colour matched at priceline for this foundation and i did think it was too dark for me once I tried to wear it at home.
