looking for a natural teeth whitening product.
can anyone help.?
colgate whitening toothpaste :D
I do agree with BB, and limit the red wines and coffees when you use a whitening product for its full effect.
Drink a sip of water in between sips of coloured liquids like coffee; my detist told me that the colour of a food/beverage indicates it's 'stain ratio'.
bi carb is a natural alternative. bi carb has so many uses from using it to clean the house, using to prevent odours and much more.
there is also white glo
i read to be careful about what products you buy because a lot claim to be 'whitening'
and to look carefully at whats making your teeth yellow
ive been on the lookout for a natural teeth whitening product this week, and i think ill go with the colgate one.
I've tried alot of the so called natural remedies and found that none are effective. I think once you,ve got off colour teeth the only way to get them back to white without ruining the enamel is laser or proper dental whitening.
i use bicarb nd its good
How would i use bicarb on my teeth.
turn it into a paste and brush it on???
before or after enitially brushing my teeth after breaky/dinner???
I'd use it after. But you can buy toothpaste with bicarb already in it.
I used to buy the toothpaste with bicarb in it years ago but haven't seen it around for a while. I'll have to have a closer look next time as it was a great product and I'd love to be using it again.
Does anyone know roughly how much it'd cost to get your teeth professionally whitened?
I think I'll put some bicarb on the shopping list and give that a go. Sounds like a cheap alternative to try.
I asked my dentist about a professional whitening about a month ago and they said it would be close to $1000. However i was talking to a friend today who said she got hers done for around $300 but she said it was painful because when they scraped her plaque off they also took some of the tooth.
Sometimes the plaque is so thick and hard it actually resembles 'tooth', but it wouldn't have been (unless she had a previous hole in her tooth that had crumbled away with the plaque) It can also feel like a big chuck of tooth is missing as when the plaque is removed you will feel ridges and gaps near the gums that were filled in with the plaque. But if you don't have that much buildup it shouldn't hurt when you have your teeth scaled.
i work at a dental surgery and it costs roughly $450 dollars im sure prices would vary from surgery to surgery, they take impressions of your teeth then make a model of your teeth! The next step is to make a thin mouthguard like mould of your teeth. You use the mouthguard with a bleach product called Daywhite for approx two weeks or untill you are satisfied with the results, if you keep your bleaching trays in good condition you can re use them for top up whitening at a later date. Depending on lifestyle eg if you like red wine, coffee or rich coloured foods will determine how long your teeth stay at your desired shade. This Method is more of a gradual whitening over two weeks but there are others that offer an instant result. I have heard that they aren't as good as the effect doesn't last as long and they can be more expensive, but in saying that i haven't witnessed it either. Maybe just call some places and ask for Quotes and what the process is to see what would be the most convenient for you. xx
i'm wondering if any melbourne or regional victoria girls know of a dentist (or salon..) that offers quite cheap but effective tooth whitening?
i have paid $200 dollars at a salon off Lygon street and got no result, very dissappointed but i was sceptical because it wasnt a real dentist, just a salon..
advice anyone please?!
I've heard about using bicarb but am a bit hesitant because it is meant to be quite abrasive? Has anyone used it with success?
Be careful with the bi carb girls as it can ruin the enamel on your teeth and actually make them more susceptible to staining.
Strawberries have natural teeth whitening properties.
Hi ladies my name is Joanie and reading all this stuff about the teeth I too would be very careful about using bi carb. This is my first time that a have commented in any programme I hope really you dont use it. Like Voves said its very abrasive.
mmm maybe i'll try the strawberries lol a yummy way to get white teeth!!
I think I'm going to use my stimulus money for dentist teeth whitening!
My professional whitening at the dentist didn't last for very long...
WhiteGlo gave me the worst toothache I've ever had in my life after using it only 3 times. On the bottom of my front teeth. It felt like they are falling out. Sent an email complaint to WhiteGlo, never heard from them at all.
I think, bicarb soda either on its own on the tooth brush or in combo with any toothpaste will do just fine. But careful - the bicarb doesn't go very easy on the gum. I wouldn't use it every day.
Anything but white glo
One good option is by using baking soda. But remember that baking soda should only be used twice per two weeks as it is quite abrasive and can damage your teeth enamel. You can also go to http://www.teethwhiteningreviews101.com/ to see product reviews of different teeth whitening products.
I think Emma481 is a spam, same comment everywhere, reported.
