We're just wondering if anyone has any questions regarding dental care/teeth whitening that are plaguing them?
Relax! We can help! I'd love to hear your suggestions so let em' rip!
Due to medication I was given as a baby I've had stained teeth all my life (I'm in my 30s and my mother is still yet to forgive herself, the poor thing!)
I guess I'd like to know what options there are out there (apart from what you can buy over the counter) for teeth whitening & how much it would cost.
How about any whitening toothpastes that are inexpensive and don't harm your teeth?.... I've heard some are quite damagign to our enamel and I for one don't want to be making too many trips to the dentist!
I'm all for whitening on a budget as well, it'd be nice to find out which work and which don't.
My partner has just started using one he bought from coles, well actually two different ones, he bought the second one cos he loved the first one so much.
The first is a treatment so you have to put this solution into a mouth gaurd and leave it in for 5 mins and do this for no more than two weeks. He noticed a big difference in the colour of his teeth but he has like little cracks that are extra stained from smoking and coffee that have not improved so he went and bought some toothpaste from the brand theres a day and night one I think the brand is something like white glo, i will go check in a min!!
ya it was white glo.
I'm probably too late with this one but I do have a question/concern!!!
When I was quite young and my second set of teeth were pretty new, I have had a white spot on each of my front teeth. They are about 2-3 mms in diameter and only a little noticeable because my teeth are fairly close to white. A couple of dentists have said these white spots may have been due to flouride and thinner than usual enamel. Anyway, I have been considering getting my teeth whitened at the dentist and I was wondering if these spots would go even whiter and if there would be any problem because of them.
I just got accepted into uni to study dentistry about 5 days ago :)
I have natural "yellow end of the spectrum" teeth according to my dentist.
My teeth have always been off white. I think its gross.
I use to be a dental nurse, from what I have seen depending on the stains or spots, you can get your teeth professionally whiten by a dentist. If they were unable to whiten/brighten your teeth, you could look at having your teeth veneered. Result of either are fantastic. Veneering is very similar to having false finger nails applied but it's a permanent.
I have veneers, I think they were put on when I was about 16 because I had some discolouration, which was nothing do with how I took care of my teeth. I'm now approaching 32 and they still look fantastic, the dentist I went to did a great job, the veneers were very fine and closely matched the colour of my other teeth.
I had braces as a kid and since having them taken off 4 years later, my teeth were a little yellow stained. The dentist said its because of the glue and you can't do anything about it. 15yrs later they are still the same and I have tried whitening toothpaste. I'd love to get rid of the yellowness - its only slightly noticeable.
I'm getting my braces off tomorrow!! so excited!!! but I'm mentally preparing myself for the staining...ew....
Wow that will be exciting Zompea.....I remember when my kids got their braces off. I know they said their teeth felt funny for a few days but after a week, they were smiling.
You will be okay.....and congratulations to getting them off. How exciting for you.
How exciting Zompea, bet your smile is going to look beautiful
I have been using Macleans whitening toothpaste because my teeth were looking a little stained and yellow and it seems to have whitened them up a bit so far. Ive only been using it for about a month now and am going to keep going and see if they get any whiter. Hope so.
Thanks Jatz and Mollygirl! I got them off and it's weird not having them there. My teeth aren't as yellow as I thought they would be, in fact, I think they're whiter than what I remember them to be. Yay!
It's such a weird feeling when I brush my teeth!
This gradual smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling silly smooth and hydrated. It absorbs into the skin really well and gives me a really natural looking tan.
I received this as part of the Oct discovery bag (thanks BH!) and was keen to try out this Australian cruelty-free brand.
I received this product as part of a trial team. This is my first trial so its ironic that it would be food.
