Editing this as it contains old info.....
Australian Survivor 2019 starts Wednesday 24th July.
The Bachelor AU starts Wednesday 31st July.
The main GoFundMe page for Luke is now over $460K (had a look this morning). I guess his Project appearance last night might've helped. He was his usual charming hilarious self.
As for the finale itself, if we didn't already know that Pia had it in the bag once Baden voted Harry out at final 3 (which IMO was a smart move on one hand as Baden knew Harry's game inside & out, but a bit of a fail as Baden might've underestimated Pia & her game), then we knew it when, at the final tribal, she schooled Dave on how Australian Survivor works (that was my favourite moment of the final tribal! So good!) and also took Baden to task about him attempting to vote her out when Abbey left.
Congrats to Pia, she played well & Baden & his MOR (middle-of-the-road), playing it safe game was definitely no match for her strong social game.
Oh & I'm so looking forward to All Stars early next year! My only hope is it'll be just as good as this season has been. I know there's some naysayers out there who reckon it's too early for an All Stars edition - and I agree to some extent - however, we've got nearly 100 players to choose from over 4 seasons, I think we can find 24 from that bunch. I also think we'll be getting 2 Survivor seasons next year - the All Stars + a regular season later on. There's already been rumours about who is going back in for All Stars, which I'll post right now:
I really hope Harry is in the next season!! It was so disappointing having B vote him out when B has seriously been such a floater the entire time (and the irony that Harry would've taken him...). I think either way B wouldn't have got any votes (no one was impressed with his game play..,his literal only good move was voting out Harry and that's not enough to secure victory...great line for P to suggest that though).
LOVED all of her comments though, she schooled him in the finale. Definitely a smiling assassin who actually did SO much behind the scenes. She had it all thought out and props to her for standing her ground and being so good at answering on the fly.
Luke is now never 500K (534 and rising) so he truly didn't need to win the title to get the money haha. Props to him too :) such a good outcome.
At the time of this post, the GoFundMe page for Luke has raised $528,283! I think this amount has surpassed Pia's winning prize money.
Well I think Pia played the game well and good on her. I didn't want to see Baden win. He did absolutely nothing throughout the game.
I see Pia is a big fan of the show and has always wanted to go on it.
Wow I heard that Luke's Go Fund me is way over what Pia's prize money won so he has actually done well for himself and his family. It is a long road with a child that has Cystic Fibrosis (my little cousin was the face of CF when little). She has now reached High School but has many times in hospital.
I heard that there is going to be an All Stars Survivor so that will be good. I enjoy this show so will look forward to it.
Fairytale ending for Survivor with a win/win for Pia and Luke!
Yes, it's a good win for Luke too. It couldn't have worked out better :-).
Agreed!! It actually worked out amazing the way it ended because if Luke did win, Pia would've gotten zilch. Highly doubt anything would've been made on gofundme for her.
I’m so happy with the outcome in the end . I agree win, win for Luke and Pia, and Baden, was left with not much to say after Pia told him, what was what.
I really enjoyed this season.
So stoked that Luke's GoFundMe page has surpassed its initial goal. The guy behind it is going to keep going with it until he's no longer getting any donations. I wonder if it'll reach 600K?
As for last night's Bach, I'm now feeling more confident that Chelsie will be his girl in the end. They spent a hell of a long time on their date last night & we saw more of the fun/goofy/physical side of their chemistry rather than the serious/nerdy side (although we saw plenty of that too). I thought their date was seriously cute & well matched with their personalities & nerdburger statuses. Pretty sure I saw his eyes soften when she told him she was falling in love with him & that's kinda a dead giveaway. I guess tonight's finale will tell, but I'm holding onto hope that Matt will make the "right" decision. I won't comment on the other girls dates because they were boring & predictable IMO.
Speaking of the finale, I'm looking forward to seeing Kate vs Abbie again - grab the popcorn lol. I feel like Kate's going to have even stronger words to use about Abbie this time around.
Ooh how they played us with Chelsie getting out of the car first!
I actually felt bad for Abbie, much as I dislike her I know how much it hurts to have your heart broken, and I think she did have feelings for him.
Anne I agree.... I saw Chelsie get out of the car first and thought nnnnnooooooooooo. Then i wondered why she was just standing there in the long grass. I think he made the right decision.
I thought I wouldn't feel bad for her but her repeating "I'm fine over and over" really showed she obviously wasn't fine and I did feel sad for her. I wonder what she thinks now, if she has watched how she was edited to basically be the "sex bomb..". Even her comment about how her dry spell will end, it's all she seemed to "appear to care about.."
Great choice with Chelsie.
They definitely played us good with the sad music and her getting out first. LOL
I was so mad with Channel 10 for doing that to us! Then I got confused when Abbie's car came up & there was no sad violin music for her. I guess we got played in the same way that she did (have just read an interview where apparently Abbie's date was the day before finale - out of order from what was shown - & she claims that Matt & the producers led her to think that she would be the one at the end).
As much as I also dislike/d Abbie, I now feel quite sorry for her. She obviously wasn't alright last night either & although I was happy (nay, utterly stoked) that Chelsie ended up with him, it still sucks watching someone's heart get broken. Between that & the crap she's been copping on social media (death threats & horrible comments like "I wish your mother never had you") & what happened at NovaFM this morning (she was recording an interview with another presenter, meanwhile Matt & Chelsie were in the next room on Fitzy & Wippa...she was told of this, turned around & ended up crouching down later in the hallway to cry whilst Matt apparently bolted).....I really feel for her now & I think she'll be yet another one to come out in 6-12 months time saying that reality TV ruined her life.
I hope you saw Abbie on The Project last night Seashells. It’s despicable how people have been on social media towards her. Abbie seems to have a great attitude and is resilient and even very responsive to being on an upcoming Bachelorette series!
I sure did Kassalee. She seemed to be holding up very well, given the events of the day. I think The Project having a bit of fun with her (the whole calling her a "thirsty horn queen" thing was amusing) & also defending her & offering support in terms of how she was portrayed probably helped her feel at ease too. I also think what Matt & Chelsie said regarding how she's been targeted on social media would also help if she gets to ever see that footage.
I don't know how I'd feel about her becoming a Bachelorette just yet (I think there's other ex-Bachelor contestants who I'd like to see first, like Brittany Hockley from the 2018 season...or maybe because I want a brunette as our next Bachelorette, we've had enough blondes!). That said I like Lisa Wilkinson's suggestion of doing it a couple of years down the track (unless Abbie's got herself a man by then).
So we finally have an air date for Angie's season of The Bachelorette: Wednesday 9th October. This will clash with all you Love Island fans, so I suspect some of you will be watching this on catch up, if at all.
My spidey senses are up with this announcement as I feel Angie is about to pull a Honey Badger & not pick anyone. This is the reasoning behind my theory, laid out in a couple of parts:
If she doesn't pick anyone at the end, it'll be interesting to see just how much backlash she'll suffer and whether it'll be anywhere near the media circus that occurred when the Honey Badger didn't pick anyone. I'm still going to watch because I'm interested to see how she goes, but I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't pick anyone. There is precedent in Bachelorette history overseas - at least 1, if not 2 or more US Bachelorettes haven't picked anyone at the end.
Thanks for all that insider info Seashellsand very interesting. Not long to wait!
It's not insider info Kassalee, but mere cynical speculation from a nutty mind! I could be completely wrong, but I'll have a stronger hunch on things once we see her start doing the media rounds for the upcoming series (i.e. she goes on The Project on opening night to talk about the show & whether she found love or not - if she faffs on half as much as HB did, then it's a dead giveaway).
I thought it was strange that the Bachelorette hadn't started by now, Seashells. Your theory that maybe she didn't pick someone makes sense, but that kind of backlash would not be nice. Let's face it, though, even if she picks someone, there will be some kind of scrutiny anyway. I'll be watching Love Island, but will watch that on catch up without the ads, because I like Angie and really want to watch this.
My hubby’s beautiful cousin Melissa Gigliotti will be working on Love Island as a make up artist. She’s a gorgeous girl!
Have seen the dudes Angie will meet this season & have to say she's got some good lookers in there. I can already spot who might be the douchebags though - that Ciarran bloke (the one twerking in the ad) will be this year's Paddy methinks.
They have a good run down of all the guys on Angie's show.....
Have seen the newest longform promo + watched Angie on Have You Been Paying Attention last night; gotta say my aforementioned fears of her not picking anyone have been well & truly laid to rest. She looks utterly happy at the end (grinning like a Cheshire cat) & has said she's found someone & is happy, so that puts my earlier argument to rest. As she says in the ad "bring on the gentlemen".
Love Angie, very excited for her season to start.
Thoughts on the opening ep:
Can't wait to watch Angie tear Jess a new one tonight. I think he'll be gone by about episode 5. She won't be able to suffer him any further.
GHD is the only brand I buy now for hair styling tools. I purchased the Gold Professional Styler a few years back and it still works like the day I purchased it.
I received this product and a few others as part of the trial team and it was hard to pick my favourite to review but I think this one had to take the top spot.
I liked this product but i didn’t love it. It has a refreshing and calming scent. The consistency of the cream was very dominant of Lanolin so i didn’t enjoy it.
