Get the London look
When I saw this image of Lily Cole from a Rimmel London ad campaign, I was instantly jealous. I wanted her glowing skin, her show-stopping eye shadow, and more than anything, I wanted those gloriously long lashes.
After feeling sorry for myself for a good few minutes (my skin was looking rather dull and my eyes more puffy than popping on that particular day), I suddenly realised, “hang on, I can look like Lily (well, to a certain extent, I’m not that delusional beauties) – I just have to recreate her make-up!”
I have a friend’s birthday drinks this coming weekend, so figured it was the perfect opportunity to showcase my new look. Here’s how I plan on doing it:
1.) I’ll perk up my pasty complexion and create a glowing, flawless-looking base using an illuminating foundation, such as Rimmel London Recover Illuminating Anti-Fatigue Foundation.
2.) Next, I’ll define my eyes with a soft kohl eyeliner in black (smudging it ever so slightly to create a softer effect), before sweeping a vibrant green shadow across my top lid, and along my bottom lash line. (I’m going to go all out and give a bold emerald shadow a go, but if you’re not gutsy enough for green, you can use any shade of your choice).
3.) Finally, for the ‘pièce de résistance’, I’m going to slick my lashes with Rimmel London Volume Flash The MAX Bold Curves Mascara. Word on the street is that the brush on the end of the wand is Rimmel’s most curvaceous brush ever, and produces thick, luscious and dramatic lashes in an instant. And hey, if it’s good enough for Lily, then it’s sure as hell good enough for me too!
What’s the most dramatic eye colour you’ve ever sported?
