Video: 3 of the best whitening toothpastes
Twice a day for two minutes: this is precisely how often – and how long – dentists recommend we brush our teeth. Yep, alongside daily flossing and dental check-ups, four minutes a day is all it takes to keep your toothy pegs in tip-top shape.
But are you making the most of those minutes? By switching out your regular toothpaste for a whitening version that helps to remove surface stains, you could be sporting brighter pearly whites in a matter of weeks.
To find out which formulas are best when it comes to combatting yellow, stained teeth, watch our 3 of the best whitening toothpastes video above…
Do you use whitening toothpastes? If so, which one do you love most? Have you tried any of the toothpastes in our list of favourites?

I've been meaning to try a whitening product, but I have slightly sensitive teeth. I use regular Colgate toothpaste, and find if I brush my teeth for an extended time this usually whitens my teeth slightly!

i've been using white glo coffee & tea drinkers' formula for a few weeks now & can't say i've noticed much of a difference. i'm not a huuuuuge tea/coffee drinker either. max 2 cups of coffee & one or two cups of tea a day

I've been using Colgate Optic White for over a month now. I haven't noticed a huge difference but my partner has so I can happily say this toothpaste works!

I drink a lot of tea and coffee so hence have stained teeth. I like the review on the Colgate Optic White and I think I might get my self some to go with my electric toothbrush.

I asked my dentist about these, and he told me to steer clear of tooth whitening toothpastes because they're not good for tooth enamel. He recommended tooth moose instead, which strengthens enamel and whitens without bleaching. I have the strawberry flavour which tastes great!

I like Colgate Optic White, but it's important to understand a toothpaste can only do so much.

I use Colgate Optic white- and I LOVE it! I recently ran out and I noticed within a couple of days that my teeth don't look as bright.

I've used the first Colgate one, but after a while my teeth started to get sensitive so I've since stopped. I was seeing a difference too :(

I don't use whitening too often, but I do like the Colgate one when I do. I've noticed it does help brighten up my smile
