OMG the coconut and lime one sounds like it would smell amazing! I also had no idea there was such a thing as an after-tanning dress - how cool! I have to wonder though if that dress would be suitable for people with non-standard sizes. Sadly I'm cursed with a naturally very large cupsize on a relatively small frame and I can barely find a bra in my size to begin with, so I'm not sure if a dress like that would really work for me if I had to go out into the world!

It's just all too much hard work for me. I'd rather stay white and natural looking.

I definitely think it's a big effort to self-tan if you want it done right! I could never do it on a weekly basis!
If I know I'm going to self tan, my routine is to moisturise my skin nightly for at least 3-4 nights, and then shave and exfoliate with a mitt at least 6 hours beforehand, or if I'm waxing, do that at least 24 hours before (allows pores to shrink back so the fake tan can't settle in).
Then when you're ready to tan, have a shower beforehand, apply a very light coating of moisturiser only on thick skin where you don't want the tan to develop properly (elbows, knees, knuckles and back of feet) and then wait to dry completely.
Once dry, I'll use either Le Tan Ultra Dark or Bondi Sands Ultra Dark (usually Le Tan as I'm so over the smell of coconuts) and leave that on for usually an hour. (The trick is to use Ultra Dark so you don't have to leave it on as long as regular tan).
Then make sure you moisturise once a day to help the tan fade evenly instead of in patches.

That tanning sheet looks like a sleeping bag protector, available at camping places. They're usually white cotton though - so they'd get pretty gross looking FAST!

Great video & tips too, Kate. I must say you look pretty in pink this is your colour as it brings out your blue eye's. You are the tanning queen for the BH crew so everyone can go to you when they need help lol :)

My best tanning tip is like a lot of other peoples - exfoliate before you tan, it will end up as a less patchy tan that way.

I don't tan coz I'm coloured. I should exfoliate more often though for my moisturiser to sink in properly.

Make sure to exfoliate and moisturise your body before using fake tan!

I will only use fake tan on my legs and on sometimes - I just find it too messy and too much work for something I would do regularly.

I’m glad I don’t bother with fake tan, there’s so many products to choose from that it’s a little overwhelming. I like my expensive linen to stay pristine

I agree with you. I like white and light coloured linen and I would hate to see that stained.

haha, that is a great reason Duality! I shared the room when travelling with one avid fake tanner. Her sheets looked really gross. But her tan, omg, she looked so good with it on

Fake tanning is so extensive and expensive now. So many products and care. Thanks for sharing. I find regular BODY MOISTURISING even without tan stops that effect … then when I tan its better
