6 of the best pretty soap bars

There are many products we buy for hygiene reasons – think toothpaste, toilet paper, deodorant and soap. Call me superficial, call me beauty-obsessed, call me what you like, but I firmly believe that just because we have to use these things to pass as normal, functioning human beings, doesn’t mean that they have to be ugly.
Yes, I’ll pay more for toilet paper with cute prints of butterflies or flowers on them. Sure, I definitely enjoy toothpaste that has a hint of glitter in it. And I’ll be damned if I don’t buy a deodorant that’s got adorable packaging. As for soap? The prettier the better, I say.
If you’re on the same page as me, you need no more coaxing, but if you’re on the other side of the fence, then perhaps these six friends of mine can help convince you otherwise:
Lush Summer Pudding
Not only will this soap appeal to your sweettooth (it’s dessert inspired), it’s creamy enough to keep your skin moisturised and will lightly exfoliate your skin, too. Oh, and isn’t the design just darling?
MOR Correspondence Triple-Milled Soap Bar in Cyclamen Tuberose
This beautiful soap isn’t only easy on the eyes with the packaging in tact, it’s pretty good-looking once unwrapped too (see that punchy pink peeking through the sides?). It’s also packed with nourishing ingredients to keep your skin in tip-top shape.
Suigo Loofah Body Bars
Give your entire body the exfoliation it deserves while using a product that looks a little nifty, too. Oh, and when you can choose from either red pomegranate, rose, or lemon, you know your nose is in for a treat.
Bomb Cosmetics Handmade Soap in Pure Therapy
Keep this bad boy on your bathroom vanity or in the shower and it’ll be like there’s an actual rainbow in your house. How could that not make you happy?
Urban Rituelle Cocoa Butter Vegetable Soap in Magnolia
Besides being an incredibly hydrating soap (it’s got cocoa butter and vitamin E in it), it’s on-trend too. Look at that ombre pattern; you couldn’t get a soap that was more current.
Pure Essense Hand-Made Soap in Chocolate
C’mon, it looks like chocolate! What else needs to be said?
(P.S. – its chockfull of exotic and oils and other soothing ingredients, so it’s not just a gimmick).
Do you use pretty soaps? Do you try and use products that are a little easy on the eyes?

I would love to try the Bomb Cosmetics Handmade Soap in Pure Therapy... sooo cute! I use Dove Beauty Bar Fresh Touch. Ordinary packaging, but with cucumber & green tea, it's so refreshing & fills the whole bathroom with scent.

I actually don't use soap any more but I'm sure tempted by this collection. I do like to have a pretty cake on the vanity for when I have visitors though, and my socks and underwear drawers are chock-full of prettily scented bars. I'm most attracted to the Urban Rituelle Cocoa Butter Vegetable Soap in Magnolia - sounds divine :-)

You should also look at the HoneySuckle Soap from ourselves. http://www.pixy.ie/soaps-gels-spells/soap/honeysuckle-soap.html Made from rich cocoa butter and macadamia oil to deeply moisturise your skin, it is great for all skin types but is particularly beneficial for dry or ageing skin.
