Launched in 1973, Molton Brown first opened in London's Mayfair as a hair salon. The salon's name paid homage to the store's location and its soft, individual and natural approach to haircare and styling.
Following the salon's success, the first retail products were hand-mixed from nettles and chamomile. By the 1980s however, the salon had evolved into the Molton Brown emporium where the plant-based make-up, hair, body and skin products of Dale Daxon Bowers were sold.
Today, although the scale of the brand is bigger, the same passion flows through the veins of the company and serves as inspiration for the products.
